If his stripes were black and not blue, and if he was willing to dress as Britney Spears and do "Hit Me Baby One More Time" on a stupid Footy Show Grand Final revue, this bloke would be one of the most recognised players of the era. Absolute gun footballer.

Thankfully his stripes are blue and probably considers players revues as the s**t they are. Easily the most underrated player in the game today. That's why I like him so much.

His podcast is a ripper.

He is just so appealing to listen to because everything he says is so genuine. A big hearted country fella who had a dream to play footy and go fishing. The way he talks about his family and kids you can tell they mean the world to him.

Yet on the field he is a competitive, contested animal.

He does the on field stuff the right way and he does the off field stuff the right way.

It’s been a pleasure watching you play 200 games for this great club. You’ve brought nothing but pride to the jumper.

I hope he gets to play 200 more with a few premierships thrown in.

Remember when his Dad was in real strife after the farm accident and poor Ben was in turmoil because he wanted to be by his Dad's potential deathbed but didn't want to let the side down?

That said so much about Ben's character. Also, its not spoken about much but Jy seemed on the verge of going off the rails, now he fishes with Cunners and Jed and is rapidly becoming a mature gun inside mid like those men.

Respect is a word that gets thrown around a lot but jeez, there'd be few players in the comp who have as much respect from their peers as Ben Cunnington.

Decent video but I was hoping for a lot more of his fend offs and throwing people away that try to tackle him!!

Kind of with you on this. A selection of goal kicking videos doesn't really do justice to a player whose greatest moments have usually involved fend offs, great contested marks and handballs that make some VFL player's kicks look short.
