Murph is all class. Period. What I really like about Murph, Walker and Simmo, is not only are they elite talents, but they all show leadership qualities and great character. These guys desperately want to be part of the Blues next flag. BTW, great having a non-footy-politics thread. They've become kinda scarce recently.

We could conceivably finish second last on four wins and still receive picks one and 2/3 in the draft. It's highly unlikely that Denis will be sacked because we can't afford to pay him out, but there is a chance that he might not even be there at the end of the year and we'll have a caretaker coach in place.

I think he'd walk if he was offered the money.

We might not lose members if we have a coach and board who can actually communicate their plans to the supporter base without treating us like idiots. After all, using Gibbs, the draftees and guilt is one of Smorgon's grand plans to increase our membership this year.

You state that we can't afford to finish last again because we're losing members, but if we've shown no signs of improving under Pagan then I feel they will finally make the call and sack him.

You're smart enough to work that out and getting two guns is better than one. We should have traded Lance when we had the chance but this club is still too reactionary and poll driven.

Hawks fans haven't torn down their club and abandoned it despite the trading away of senior players to ensure low finishes and moving home games interstate. If the members don't sign up that says alot about how dedicated they really are if they're not prepared to "stick fat" through the hard times. The problem is that we don't have the people who have the nous to sell it to the supporters that they're are better times ahead and make this club profitable.

That's the system in place and only an idiot club doesn't try to use the system to it's advantage. ie. keeping Whitnall when we could have added another kid.

No one said they wanted to finish last but it was worth finishing last to get Murphy.
