I dont think the company only employs the indigenous.

But I get what you're saying, people of Indian descent are taking jobs from first nations people which you're unhappy about.
And they advertise it as it's only indigenous company

Regarding motor racing, Gerard has to raise his game if he wants to legitimately join the Oscar Piastri bandwagon. His little safe space on Monday with Craddock is not enough. He's still deficient with his anti-F1GP stance when he was on with Jon Faine. He has to bring up F1/motorsport during other parts of the week. Thursday would be a good opportunity.

Don't worry about random footy topics on Know Your History. We need an F1 Know Your History. This week is a good week with Monaco on this weekend. They could talk about...

  • Jack Brabham's first win in 1959, therefore the first win by an Australian.
  • Brabham flopping away a win on the last corner on the last lap in 1970.
  • Alan Jones leading late til mechanical problems denied him in 1981.
  • David Brabham's first race in 1990.
  • Mark Webber's wins in 2010 and 12.
  • Daniel Ricciardo's win in 2018.

Canada's coming up...

  • Jack Brabham was the first winner of the Canadian GP in 1967.
  • Alan Jones clinched the championship there in 1980.
  • Daniel Ricciardo's first win in 2014.

Then Austria. Alan Jones' first win in 1977.

Britain

  • With 6 wins (Brabham 3, Jones 1 and Webber 2), it's the most successful GP by Australians.
  • Brabham and Ricciardo's first race there in 1955 and 2011.

C'mon, Gerard, this is the segment the listeners don't know they want. Even bedford wants to listen to this.

Kaneo said on Fireball this morning that Bevo had made comments about his wife in the past... I can find no record of this, can anyone fill me in?
Probably this:
“If you’re going to fail in life, fail at something that is noble. Fail at something you can dust yourself off and be proud that you had a go,” Beveridge said. “If you’re failing at trying to pull people apart and bring people down like two or three journalists did this week, I don’t know how people around you can live with you, how they can lie in bed with you, how they can look at themselves in the mirror.

He's entertaining, but yes, there's a real lack of accountability when it comes to his 'takes'. Whenever he's called out he only ever deflects criticism rather than addressing anything head on.
Also I thought it was pretty obvious he was deliberately looking for a confrontation with Bevo.

Not a fan of Kornes, and King irks me for how he presents much of his analysis, but the intro here was very funny from King, and Kornes addressed the issue with humility and reason. I get why Kane wants to be the type of broadcaster he is, but given he can actually be very articulate and explain the game both in layman's and esoteric manners, I think he does himself such a disservice with how he conducts himself.

But full credit to them both in this vid, and for SEN for putting this stuff on YouTube.

Honestly I don't agree that conflict of this sort is bad for the league. The WWE style drama, as rare as it is, is part of what gets people talking about it imo, especially people who aren't necessarily into sport but are into entertainment and gossip.

spot on. he is not alone however.

but kane does say a lot "ive said it many times before" or "ive been saying it for years". And no one goes to find his previous sound bites which means hes not held accountable. You see on espn how slick their shows are, and quickly talking heads comments are brought up or found.
he does deflect youre right. Although i like him and king most times, king calls him out but with the strength of a wet lettuce leaf. Then they both end up laughing about it.

Apologies for being a bit late to comment on this (cos I know you were all hanging out for my opinion), but did anyone else catch the plonker UK correspondent (Tom Barclay I think his name is) the day before the "Ange" final, might have been Tuesday? I think we've found the pommy version of Andy Maher... blubbering over his words and taking 30 seconds to say something that could have been said in 5, multiplied several times across his 5 minute bit. Jabba the Hutch must love the verbal diarrhea blokes that fill air time regardless of actual content.

Yes I had the misfortune of tuning in whilst he was on.

My ears hurt afterwards. How does someone get any on air role when they struggle to string a sentence together?

Bevo is bang on. Cornes is a f***wit that deserves zero respect. Would Cornes ever have the balls to coach an AFL side? Course not. He couldn't even be a firefighter for a day.

Just a typical fake tough guy who would run a mile if physically confronted. P***weak.

I don't really get the faux tough guy stare from Bevo. How old is he? Why kind of grown man does that.

Not really sure what Kane was meant to do. He says nothing and people would say he was a coward, so he acknowledges him in the simplest of ways and people criticise him.

Give the firefighter thing a rest. You don't know anyone else who started a job and found it wasn't the right move and not for them? Plenty of failed firefighters, nurses, teachers and police officers out there.
