I just had a look at who Australia is next playing Test cricket against. I couldn't find anything so I guess its whoever comes to tour Australia next year.

Given this long break between Test matches, what will the team look? You really couldn't see Ponting be a part of it and I hope for his sake that he leaves on his terms so he can be given a good send off in Sydney.

Other than that, apart from Watson and Haddin you would say that every position in the team is up for grabs. If only Hussey was 25 instead of 35 the team could be built around him.

i think we go to Bangladesh in April
then Sri Lanka later in the year
then India to us

not sure if there is anything else between all that

Travel to Sri Lanka around July (3 tests, 5 ODIs)

Travel to South Africa in September (3 tests, 5 ODIs)

Host New Zealand 1st series next year (2 tests)

Main series v India in Australia (4 tests + 8-11 ODIs v India and SL)

Travel to the Windies the following March (3 tests, 5 ODIs, 2 T20s)

Not a bad year, a good mix and a good chance for players to really cement spots or be found out and also glad to see other than the Kiwis which isnt worthy of any more, they are no longer playing stupid 2 test series

also tour Bangladesh as well according to this
http://cricket.com.au/news-display/New-team-manager-after-World-Cup/23397
"Bernard and Dovey will conduct a handover during the Australian team tour to Bangladesh which is scheduled immediately after the World Cup."

we should beat bangladesh
srilanka will flog us on those tracks.
south africa, we might sneak a series win out of that one. we went there last time with a mediocre team and dominated them. but with this team. we will lose 2 test by an innings and plenty and maybe draw the third
india. who knows what will happen

I agree with all of that but pls drop the sentence in bold, I hope you're not being serious, we will get absolutely smacked, they will pants us, I wouldn't say 'we' dominated them last time, more like 'Mitchell Johnson and to an extent 'Phil Hughes' dominated them, and RSA were well and truly below their best, it's quite astonishing to think almost the same team that's getting pummeled by the Poms won that series in RSA

Wouldn't say we dominated either - two wins by 100-odd runs and a loss by an innings is not "domination".

Wow. RSA and India are going to pummel us. Sri Lanka will also give us a good going over.

Of course a 1-0 series win over NZ will probably have the selectors claiming NO NO WE'RE ALL OK!

Well, I think it's fair to say that the next year is going to be a rather crude introduction to the young team we will blood after this series, or will we even go down that path? who knows with these selectors

Plz bring india every 2nd year

dont want to see pakinstan and west indies again, what a lame summer
