After tonight, we will have played every team in the comp except for the teams in 12th, 14th, 15th and 16th on the ladder. That's every team in the top 11 but without playing 4 of the bottom 5 teams (including the bottom 3).

If we beat Sydney tonight we will be in 3rd, 2 points off 1st and 6 points clear of 5th with a very good percentage. This game is very significant and considering how hard our draw has been to this point and the players we had out last round, it's no surprise we were a bit flat in those couple of weeks before the break. After tonight, we play West Coast and Port for the first time (in a row) and Round 15 marks our last interstate trip for the year. If we win tonight then Round 16 should be a crack at 1st against the Saints and then we don't leave the MCG until next season. After a run of INTERSTATE, MCG, INTERSTATE, ETIHAD, MCG, INTERSTATE, MCG, INTERSTATE, ETIHAD that includes Geelong, Hawthorn, the Dogs, the Saints and Freo at Subi, to come out top couple with 7 MCG home and away games in a row to round out the season will be a remarkable achievement. Lose tonight and we will probably finish top 4. Win tonight and we will probably get the chance to use those 7 games in a way that a true contender should as in resting players with niggles and properly managing our team to September. We are a huge shake and tonight is a major part of that. GO PIES!!!!

Also, this hasn't been mentioned in here but it has in other forums, does anyone think it's significant that 2 of our 3 "flattest" performances this year have been against Melbourne (the only bottom 4 side we've played) the week after playing the Dogs? I just read somewhere that our 1 pt win in round 2 is the only win a team's had all season the week after playing the Dogs. It's almost becoming the new "week after Perth" the way they tire teams out with their running game. We certainly ran out of legs late in that game and playing 3 quarters a man down the week after just might have gotten to us. In that sense we did well to hold on for a draw.

The legend of that 1pt win earlier this year just keeps getting bigger and bigger. And here i am thinking the Dees nearly ruined my Easter!

Yeah 6 points out of 8 which could have just as easily been 0 could be huge come the conclusion of Round 22. Let's just hope we don't play the Doggies in a Prelim :thumbsu:

Unless there is another draw with a team in the 8 percentage doesn't mean anything to Collingwood anymore

If Freo end up higher on the ladder at the end of the season, the boys might have to come to Perth for a final...lol
