Had a look at the video again and really liked Brodie slapping SOS's leg just before the SOS fist pump.
They're a chalk and cheese combo but clearly there's the right amount of respect between the two.

Not a lot footage around given Stocker was the MM winner, but the lack of champs may have hurt him a little whilst ultimately benefitting us.

Liked the little "He's a genius' attentioned to King, by Agresta. Wonder how Kingy took it? :)

Bolts looked pretty unsure about the whole thing.

Nah mate, they've backed you in. Do us all a favour and win some games next year.

It did occur to me when he praising them for backing themselves in, it did not occur to him , they also backing him in to coach the team to a vast improvement in 2019 season. It is so evident how coaches have no real say in drafting now. They are really just there to be educated on the players coming into the club via drafting to see what they are going to be working with. Maybe 15 years ago coaches had some authority for whom got drafted. That is long gone. They can ask questions, help suggest type of needs to the list but ultimately their job is just to coach and develop whomever is coming to the club via drafting. With trade period think coaches have more say of whom comes to the club but draft day they are a passenger in back seat.

Bolts will be super excited to work with these kids. Over to him now.

Over 1000 posts. Welcome Liam, you are all we are talking about, hope you live up to the hype/hope.
Seems a pretty level headed kid to me. In fact both he and Walsh are. Great selections by SOS and his team.

I love the way we quietly nabbed Walsh and its ..yeah hes good...best mid..juddlike..etc..no fuss...take it in our stride.......and Stocker is the one we are talking about.
It confirms how far we have come. You beauty.

SOS the builder, can he fix it, Yes he can!

Don't think there are too many people out there that wouldn't be impressed in how he has gone about it TBH.

Ideally, the coach should have very little input on draft night (generally too much bias toward immediate results).
I am a bit surprised he didn't know who we rated where (to me that implies he has nothing to do with the process at all)

Reid will be shitting himself imo, this time next year he’ll be known as the bloke that gave away a first round pick/stocker fr nothing....mark my words

Which is how it should be....ROSS Lyon take note

I want to take Agresta out for breakfast and talk football for a couple of hours. Guys knows his stuff, would be fascinating.

If you see this Mick, PM me.

I want to take Brodie out for breakfast and......on second thoughts, maybe not breakfast but just a cup of coffee. Not sure I could afford the breakfast. :)

If you see this Paul, just block me.

Watching the video I dont agree with comments about Bolton. He looked like a man in charge letting experts do their thing and not interfering. The coach is still the bottom line clearly and he was the one congratulating them all for getting what he really wanted.

And make no mistake, we are playing in the big league now. Calling the shots. Nobody could watch that and not wish they had SOS on their side. Exciting and riveting stuff.

huh?

What’s his footballing background?

Many years as a recruiting manager for Sydney, responsible for their haul of rookies who have gone on to have successful AFL careers.

The way he talked about Stocker's ball drop on his opposite side was quite arousing.
