That said I am sure they have offers out to all ex WA players out of contract.

A move to West Coast would be a mistake for both parties.

For Riley, he'd be leaving a side that is a legitimate chance at finals next year for a side that will still be struggling to get out of the bottom four. And sure, he's not playing in the seniors as much as he wants, but we have two medium defenders who are 30+, so the spot will be his very soon. (And I say this as someone who actually wants him in the side now.) And it's not like he'll get a massively higher salary at West Coast than with us.

And the Eagles need the Parker/Darling types. The kids look alright, but it's leaders and teachers of the kids that seem to be lacking.

Not to mention the amount we'd be asking for in a trade.

Teams would be "chasing" **** knows how many players every year...doesn't mean they get them.

He did the preseason in the A team. Played the first praccy starting on the field. He got hurt and hasn't played a full VFL game since.

Does anyone really want to throw him to the wolves underdone? The answer seems to be yes in some cases. It's quite bizarre.

Yeah he will play when he is ready. I think some get carried away with if we don't play some players they will want out. We have been pretty ordinary for sometime now and still never really lost anyone we really wanted. Not every player wants to go home and i don't think Tas is a worry for any of our players we want for the future.

Hardemann by foot is a weapon. Watching him today in the VFL he has no problem with the +50M clearance and is linking up in chains well. Just a question of when he is back in the side, and who comes out from Daniel/LMac
