Adoring western suburban fans get to enjoy the marvellous feats of E.J on the electric television.

......when the overhead power cables eventually reach Braybrook.

I'm pretty sure the roads were sealed in Braybrook that year, too.

Interesting since the rest of Australia didn't get it until 1956 :o

Was it the date we started using the term Norf?

1954:
Bombers 2003 celebrates his 21st birthday by going down to the beach and yelling at the seagulls.

By 1954 Norf had already shown their penchant for the merger having merged 3 times with other teams. Their club had also been bankrupt twice, thrown out of the VFA once and rejected by the VFL at least twice. They had also begged Essendon for a merger but were rejected.

And despite being 80 years old they were yet to win a premiership in the top league in the land.

No wonder they've become the clapped out old whore of the AFL with such a long pathetic history of failure.

The Sainters had notched up their 17th wooden spoon
Melbourne denied the Kangawhoos a shot at the premiership
North Melbourne are renamed the Kangawhoos from the Shiteboners

It would be another 20 years before dog became the primary source of food for residents of Footscray.

In 54 Old Skool's mum learnt to swollow.

54 guys in a row.

Fitzroy, with 8 flags, has been a little unsuccessful since they owned Richmond in the GF at the Junction Oval a decade ago. But they are clearly established as one of the widely-accepted 'Big Three' for evermore. Alongside is the huge and boisterous Demon Army, whose outrageous home ground advantage come finals time, and massive following at the MCG has seen them win 6 flags already. That can never change. The Big Three will always be the Big Three. Melbourne, Fitzroy and Collingwood - who will surely win another 12 flags in the years up to 2011. Minnow clubs like Essendon really should consider the merger offers. Hawthorn will never, ever even once make the finals.

Cos things never change, right?

Little history lesson mighty flog as I know how obssesed you are with the club.

The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed The Kangaroos, is the fourth oldest Australian rules football club in the Australian Football League (AFL) and is one of the oldest sporting clubs in Australia and the world.

It is based at the Arden Street Oval in the inner Melbourne suburb of North Melbourne, but plays its home matches at the nearby Docklands Stadium.

After 3 attempts, 29 years of waiting and numerous other applications to enter the VFL, finally North was rewarded for its relentless persistence with admittance to the League in 1925, along with Footscray and Hawthorn. Even then, the opportunity almost slipped out of the club’s grasp as the League delegates debated into the early hours of the morning on which clubs should be invited to join the intake. It was only after much deliberation that North Melbourne’s name was eventually substituted for Prahran's making North “the lucky side” of the invitees that included Footscray and Hawthorn.

Now you know a little of the history your posts may be a little bit more learned.

My pleasure in advance.:D

My goodness you are dim. I know all that and more. In fact I know it off the top of my head and I don't even support your shambles of a club. That you went running to wikipaedia (a terrible source for this info) shows you know very little about your own club. How awful.

Now, which part of my post do you dispute?

This bit ( rejected by the VFL at least twice.)
