The question to ask oneself is who is going to tell Wilson who has RSVPed? The club better not be briefing her on this. If so then it’s very poor form. The 1975 50th anniversary seems to have been very poorly organised, which is a real shame. Having said that, it's not really about what you eat or where you sit. It's about seeing your old teammates, reminiscing on what was achieved and having a toast for Barass, Micky Nolan, Aylett, Mantello, Joseph and others who aren't around to join in. Why sit at home and be petulant. Life is short, just get along and do it for your teammates like you did 50 years ago. By the way, I was there in '75 with my old dad, it was a truly special day.

The club are responsible for giving them a respectable environment and appropriate time to do that.

They have fumbled the bag big time. Hood and co have had an absolute stinker here.

For example, why isn't there a Centenary logo at the top of our web page? Is there one on every guernsey this year? Is it on all of the offical stationery for the year? Is it a footer on every email signature? I just get the feeling nobody at the club rates either celebration as important. They think we should be grateful to celebrate at a Thursday night game when most families cannot atattend.

Agree I work at Marvel so attend all dogs games they have done it so much better. Separate logo for all games a new intro at each game celebrating past players etc. Special branding all around the stadium. Cool merch having all the logos over the years etc

The greatest moment in our clubs history, our first premiership should have been given greater respect and a stand alone event befitting the occasion. A stand up cocktail party is more suited to a fund raising event, auction night etc. Club has stuffed this one up big time.

Remind you of how they setup a non profitable club in the Gold Coast and “forced it down our throats”.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but they should have split the events.

Recognise the 1975 flag team at an earlier game in the year (maybe the Rd 2 game against Dees or Rd11 game against Pies) and the 100 year celebration should have been all premiership players, especially considering the four Men's Premierships have a lot of crossover between 75 & 77 and 96 & 99.

It's a shame and it's a deadset 1st world problem but I think the administration have stuffed this one.

We are officially in a much better place when this is our controversy de jour.

and to those past players objecting - fair enough, but that could have been done with a ‘geez, would have been nice to have a sit down gala dinner just for us, but oh well, guess not’ and then get on with life rather than treat it like a matter of pride/principle. The club has clearly disrespected them and maybe they'd be better off organising themselves with something more befitting of the occasion.

What is with having a mid season celebration for winning something? The AFLW premiership was last season ffs and if they feel the need to celebrate the premiership do it on its own accord.

The 50-year celebration is significant and it's unique. The club has clearly ****ed up and that's bad enough but the fact that the club is feeding Caroline Wilson information of all ****ing people is clearly disgraceful.

Hood is loved on this board but she really needs to address this asap and wherever the ****ing leak is coming from address it. Not acceptable from any perspective.
