A) He isn't a fulltime ruckman, so last night he played the role we recruited him for, so a massive tick for him.
B) Um Joey would never have kicked those two clutch goals..... EVER!!!
You mean apart from all those times he did?

Yeah...... na
Let me think. Hawthorn last year, was a huge part of the surge. 2017 vs Carlton, kicked the first of the last when we needed it desperately. Same year, kicked a goal against Geelong when they got within 10 and coming, I could go on and on.
Poster has a total of 7 posts. 2 of which are on this page. Wonder what the other 5 in 2 years were.
A couple in the autopsy thread against the Dogs last year it seems, and a couple in trade/FA.

Great game from the big fella, few more of those will keep the natives very happy.

The goals, the marks etc were great.

But I thought he was having a fine game when he had 5 tackles in the first half and had the intercept punch when they were coming out of the 50 which Perkins picked up.
At that time it was his effort and I felt that if he just brought that for a few weeks he would have a breakout game. I've felt the same with Jones, the workrate some guys are showing you can tell it will turn for them.

Peter got his rewards in the same game which is such a good thing for his confidence and his growth on such a big stage.

Watching the replay you could literally see Wright's confidence lift when took that first mark.

Hopefully backs it up this week.

Will be massive boost if he can continue that form.

You can praise a guy without tearing the other down.

Daniher literally won the medal in our last ANZAC win. His whole career is full of big goals.

You can but where's the fun in that;)

I've watched Joe kick the last couple of weeks & feel he does.
I've watched Joe his entire career and know that he doesn't. He's kicked absolutely vital goals all throughout his career, saying otherwise is disengenuous at best.

Say what you will about Joe, but when we needed him to kick high pressure goals he usually delivered.

Yes I had the dubious pleasure of seeing all his career kicks for goal as well & while he is a beautiful kick of the footy, he's spraying one of those shots, that's just part of the package.

I disagree.

Can we just celebrate the fact that Poita is an Essendon player now, scored us two crucial goals last week, and that other snake-headed bastard plays for a different team?

By that biased premise, Wright > Redacted.

Moving on!
