Pretty much all your wildest dreams all rolled into one game..

Phil Read gets smacked the crap out..
Waterhouse has a day out..
Eagles believing their going to coat to victory before a great comeback..
We win by a point..

Was an awful game.
I have it on DVD and have watched it multiple times even though it is a shit game.

Never forget Clive in the 3rd quarter, takes a mark on the leads against Zorba. He hit the decks then turned on a dime and ran in to nail it from about 30.
SUPERSTAR!!!!!!

Awesome game =)

Not sure if IIRC or not but I think Pav got a nice hit in on gardiner either that derby or another derby where there was a few fights

I remember it on the screen at Subi - it was nice punch to the head while gardiner was down

no report or anything - unless i dreamt it =)

it will forever be the day that we stood up to them and we haven't really looked back since - not recently anyway

yep, i remember the interview with kickett after the game
Q (asked by adrian barich): What made you react the way you did and why would you want to go out on a sour note like that

A: i needed to show the young guys that we dont have to take their crap anymore, and that we should stand up for ourselves and our club.

If only we could clone him... it's players like him and Cook that I've absolutely loved to see play for us - as well as Solly and JCarr (when we hasn't a git)

DeBoer looks the type that can take over the reigns - as well as Crowley

A no-nonsense approach would be great - especially (heaven-forbid) if Pav adopted it more

Don't forget Suban - loves a stoush and will fly the flag as quickly as anyone...!

And Pav managed to get himself a fine for being part of the melee in Demo Derby Mk II (Carr & Carr v Cousins & Kerr), so he can and does get in there when he feels it's required.

Aww man I wish they had that channel up here - the demo derby is pretty much my favourite game of all time.

I  Dale Kickett

As much as I despise Gossage I'll never forget hearing him on the radio scream 'Darren Glass is the WORST KICK IN THE AFL!' during the closing moments.

HAHA yeah i remember that. classic. he really should have stolen the game from us.... but didnt lol :thumbsu:

You used to play in Karratha? Both the Karratha Kats and the Karratha Falcons are chock full of absolute w***ers, so poor old Dale was just belting a bloke wearing one of those filthy f**king jumpers. He couldn't help it, he was doing the right thing. You were just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. With the wrong jumper on.

Don't forget to watch out for Cookie's epic hit on Mitchell White. A little high, but eh... just marvel at the power that such a little bloke generates and watch as it is perfectly inelastically served up to a much bigger bloke.

LOL.... nothing wrong with the katters mate.. havent played there for 3 years though

yeah that was an awesome hit. broke three of his ribs and did his medial ligament some how.... cookie was a freight train to run up against :thumbsu:

This was well before I supported freo but I reckon I might have to set the dvr to record it tonight and watch it on the weekend. Sounds like a cracker game!

I watched about half of the first quarter this morning before work. Bit of a nostalgia trip with some of those names. One thing hasn't changed though, the umps were shocking for us.

hehe yeah, but phil matera smashed himself on one of them later in the match to try and sway the umpires our way... heh another classic moment of the match. matera came off worse than the ump
