2003 BF Crows Awards

Well after the success of this last year & keen interest shown on the Crows' Board, it is worth continuing the weekly voting in 2003. I propose that we have the same format (unless someone has a better suggestion); ie:

1. Best on Ground - vote for the best 5 players;
2. Best Team Man - vote for the best 3 players; &
1. Best Rookie - vote for the best 3 players.

Number of voters each week doesn't matter as an equal number of points (with the exception of ties) will be handed out each week to determine full year results (inlcuding finals).

Will need to determine a list of the eligible rookies. Last years' qualification criteria was any player under 23 who has played less than a season worth of games.

Thoughts everyone?

Eligible Rookies

Bock, Nathan
Hentschel, Trent
Jericho, Luke
Mattner, Martin
Reilly, Brent
Rutten, Ben
Schuback, Jacob
Smith, Matthew

Rookies if elevated to the main list:
Bratton, Michel
Parker, Aiden
Porplyzia, Jason
Skipworth, Hayden

I suspect he's played too many matches.
Yeah, your correct Dave - I only looked at his AFC games (10), rather than his total (26). Will edit my post.

Count me in.
But only a suggestion....Why not vote 1,2,& 3 across the board?
More often than not the Best Team man is a possible fourth and fifth best player anyway.

Just a thought
Personally I usually have problems fitting in 5 players, let alone 3, but will leave it up for the masses to decide whatb they prefer (ie. majority rules). Also, I tend to loom for different qualities for the team man to the BOG.

Fairs enough, I think the masses have spoken:D

hey how come reilly is eligible for a rookie vote??? hes not a rookie though he has been promoted to the main list...hasnt he?!?!!

I'm sure he's eligible for the rookie votes because he's either not played more than so many games or he's under a certain age!

I'll start watching after halftime... I'll spend the first half with my head in my hands cursing the fact that West End still has the contract at Footy Park and not Coopers... :( ;)
