Amazing facts are that Richmond have a stranglehold on the 2004 draft. With Thomson coming to us we now have picks 1, 4,10, 11, 12, 16, 20 & Thursfield , McGuane, Morton and Foley via the Rookie.

Five year latter all this kids form the same draft should be ready to play finals. Will it happen?

Interesting to look at the 'Superdraft' in hindsight.

Although it has put the '05 draft to shame, it's produced a lot less quality players than the hype would have suggested at the time.

Foley was drafted as a rookie in 2003. Still some more delistings to come and trade week isn't over, so not all those other players may still be there in a weeks time.

If we're going to get all pedantic on xfacta, Morton wasn't a rookie, he was a F/S pick for the Eagles who probably would have been picked in the first half dozen had he been available, and McGuane wasn't a rookie either, he was taken at pick #36.

have you ever even seen him play mate? its a bit hard to show how good you are when your always injured like danny is. have some f**king respect for the kid, he is busting his gut trying to prove himself and he keeps getting injured. when your playing AFL ill shut my mouth but for the minute i wouldnt go calling him a hack when he's 40,000 times better than you'll ever be.

But you missed Roughead, Franklin and Lewis - 2008 Premiership players!
You will never live that draft down! Stuffed up more then Fiora ahead of Pavlich.

roughhead isnt a proven no.1 forward so he might not even kick half the goals as he did with buddy and williams to help him out.

He isn't tall enough and can't jump high enough for ruck. He is not agile enough or skillful enough to play forward. Riewoldt already has CHF stitched up anyway in my opinion. His marking was below average this year.

Just where is he going to play in our future side? At the moment the only reason he gets games is because we are forced to play him 2nd round due to our pathetic ruck stocks.

yes and good on him. im not saying he is not going to have a good career. i hope he does. but im saying he might not go aswell if franklin isnt there. but he does have all the tools to become a great ff without buddy. i was replying to hawker when i said roughead wasnt proven. and i would still go deledio over roughead if we could do the draft again. but not buddy
