Who is going to fit the bill for Orlando??? the energetic over confident wants to rule the world and become the greatest ever in Dwight Howard??? Or the mature level headed hard working get up and go and wqill come to play every night guy in Emeka Okafor???
I dont think in the history of the Draft we have ever seen to completley different players both mentally, physically and attitude competing for the number 1 pick.
Chances are both of these players will end up at another club reguardless in years to come so for immediate impact and attitude for Bball every night ill have to go with Emeka.
The guy is more likely going to stay in Magic uniform longer than Howard and will also have the attitude and mindset to bring to a game evrey night.
Tough 1 though!!!

cheers

Revised mock posted ^

Im changing mine too. With Howard unavailable I think its a lock the Hawks will take the other home town boy Josh Smith before Pheonix can.

...therefore unless Washington takes the PG the Clippers don't (Gordon or Livingston), Phoenix will take the leftover under best player available.

I'll be amazed if he slips past Portland at 23, given Cheeks' thoughts on the kid.

Yep. Personally i'd have him borderline lottery, but with the slows being put on him for the past few months, he might be one of those that slides well down.

My mock lottery:

1)Orlando - Emeka Okafor
2)Charlotte (from Clips) - Dwight Howard
3)Chicago - Ben Gordon

My reasoning:

Gordon to Chicago seems weird, but I have heard from several sources that he has moved above Deng and Iguodala on Chicago's draft board. Why, I'm not exactly sure as Hinrich is etched in stone as their point guard, but they may be aiming to replace Jamal Crawford and play an up tempo, albeit smaller, back court.

No chance....

In Chicago, that's code for "It's on."

Meanwhile, Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun told a Connecticut newspaper that he wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls pick Ben Gordon at No. 3. "I keep getting calls from GMs saying what an incredible athlete he is," he said. "And Chicago is a team that seems to have the most interest."

That said, I've had a change of heart and gone for Iguodala, who has been similarly scorching the workout scene.

I think Gordon is a smokescreen, but its true Chicago tried to get him for a second workout but he had to cancel ours and Pheonix's because he has got the flu or something.

He ripped it up at our workout by all reports.

I think Devin Harris was the only player Phoenix brought back twice because Mike D'Antoni loves him.

...all of those players a prima donnas, though. Childress is a solid kid.

Yeah, you'd expect the Hawks would look at him given their lack of er... players and talent. Think he was the Italian League Finals MVP or something along those lines... not shabby at all.

1)Orlando - Dwight Howard (most upside, question's on Emeka's health)
2)Charlotte - Emeka Okafor (Pick by default)
3)Chicago - Andre Iguodala (Stock is sky high, can step in right away)
4)Clippers - Shaun Livingston (Gordon gone, again by default)
5)Dallas - Pavel Podkolzine (That's apparently why they traded)
6)Atlanta - Luol Deng (Can't pass him)
7)Chicago - Ben Gordon (They love him, have their SF at three)
8)Toronto - Jameer Nelson (Impressed them, can start immed.)
9)Philadelphia - Josh Childress (Will complement AI nicely)
10)Cleveland - Devin Harris (Delighted he slips this far)
11)Golden State - Andris Biedrins (Ditto)
12)Seattle - Kirk Snyder (Adds toughness, McMillan likes him, Jefferson possible)
13)Portland - Luke Jackson (With Snyder gone, the hometown kid)

If the Spurs are to use the draft, I wouldn't mind someone like Kevin Martin, Varejao, Synder or Viktor Khyrapa (whom the Spurs are supposedly interested, but who knows...)

2nd round, expect Lionel Chalmers (if he drops that far) or some Euro prospect for long term. (Jaber Rouzbahani, the 7'5" 19 year old Iranian - let him play for a Euro team and see if he pans out?)
