As we are fast approaching the all important 1/2 way mark of season (ie. having nearly played all clubs) who do you think will win the B&F this year, I don't think there will be any one standout like last year (Corey) will be closely contested by about 1/2 doz players. Here's my tips

B&F Cam Mooney
R/U Gary Ablett
3rd Paul Chapman
4th Jimmy Bartel
5th Joel Corey
6th Jarrad Rooke

There are obvious others: Scarlo,Enright,Ling (always polls well), Dash, Otto etc which could and probably will feature in the top 6

Reckon Chapman would probably be leading it at present, he's probably been the most consistent performer. He'd be closely followed by GAJ. Mooney would be up there, and could well take it out if he keeps up his form of the last few weeks. Any of the rest would need to have an absolutely stand out second half of the season to get close IMO.

Since GAJ looks like he's about ready to explode, I'll pick him from Chappy, closely followed by Mooney.

Junior could be set for a strong finish but he tends to fade in and out of games. Chappy for mine looks a cert as he's consistently among our best... If anyone votes for Ling I'll give out the biggest b*tch slap!!:D

GAJ would be winning by a mile at this point in my opinion.

There are not too many games he has been beaten this year and the last two weeks he's been clearly best on ground.

I Agree any of those three, my outsider is Ottens he will be up there aswell.

Ling was always poll solidly because he gets the ball...

In the past perhaps, but this year he has been shocking... for a start he isn't even getting as much of the ball as he used to and when he does get it, he never uses it to advantage. Surely the blokes who cast the votes for the B&F are able to tell the difference between effective disposal (which Ling does not do) and meaningless cheap junk stats, at which Ling is the undisputed master?

Shocking is far too harsh...not as good last year but is still getting the ball. Regardless of how far he kicks the ball, he will still poll reasonably well. That is just the way the B&F system works sometimes.

Sorry but shocking isn't too harsh. This bloke is supposed to be one of the better midfielders going around, but this year he has been too slow and ineffective. Opposition clubs don't even bother to tag him, they're happy for him to get 20+ touches a game because they know he doesn't hurt them. If his name wasn't Cameron Ling and Geelong didn't have a quota of redheads to fulfill than his sorry arse would have been dropped weeks ago. As it is he'll continue to plod along in the seniors accruing cheap kicks that serve no advantage for the GFC. Does that sound like a B&F winner to you?

I never said he would win...what I am saying is that he will still poll because he is a midfielder who gets the ball.

Ling has never been quick FWIW

My outsider would be Milburn.
In most of our losses he has been th most consistant to put his hand up.
Very underrated player.
If he has a good second half of the year he will go very close!

I have to disagree about Chappy's consistency - he wouldn't have votes for last week. And there's a few other games he wouldn't have.

Remember Joel Corey won last year after polling in every game he played except one. That's what wins b&fs
