Do you reckon he's been shitter than his first couple of years because of the lack of confidence in his knees or is he spooked by the injury he cause Michael Barlow?

Yes.

The talent is there, I just don't think he has developed well at all, and so his peak was his first year.

Been WAY worse than his first 2 years. Not sure about being spooked about the Barlow incident as i thought a fresh start at a new club would see him bounce back.

No bias at all,

No bias at all,

It's entirely possible for anyone to rate Danger and Walker as 1 and 2 in this draft. The top 4 of Taylor, Danger, Walker and Cotchin are interchangeable as they are all on about level pegging, and each person has their opinion of where they should be rated.

To date much of walkers status is based on a mix of promise and bluster, what's he been accredited with as in AA or Coleman medals that would rate him higher than a dual B&f winner and AA,,,other than bloated opinion?

No bias at all,

Happy to admit that I am a little biased. Everyone is.

I'd definitely entertain the thought of swapping Walker and Taylor in my rankings, I think they're both amazing players (but then my bias kicked in). At least my bias is semi-defendable.

The fact that last year he kicked over 60 goals from 19 games, came close to winning the Coleman medal, and looked to be on track to do similar if not better this year until he was injured. Plus I'd rate KPF's higher than midfielders usually.

Knowing what we know now I think teams could pick any of the top 4 in this draft at one.

My team I would hope took Taylor as he would be a combo with Thompson. Our mids and forwards are in better shape. But any team that need a power forward night take the risk on Walker coming off a knee if they had pick one. Dogs and Blues come straight to mind where a Wce, Hawks would like one of Cotchin or Dangerfield.

Exactly, the top 4 are interchangeable depending on the team like I said before. Melbourne would take Cotchin, because they need midfielders and also Cotchin's leadership would be invaluable. Bulldogs would take Walker because we would like a KPF. Please. Just one. North would take Taylor for the reasons you listed above. West Coast would take Dangerfield because they need an elite midfielder like him.

But really you'd be happy if your club picked any one of the 4, and if it was the dogs, I would rate them:

1. Walker
2. Taylor
3. Danger
4. Cotchin

Just because I rate KPP's more, and I think Danger's explosiveness is something we could really use.

For the Roos I would go Taylor, Walker, Danger and Cotchin - even though I think Cotchin is the best player from this draft. I agree about having a better rating for KPP's.

I'll probably be dismissed simply for being a Hawthorn supporter but if you were to re-rank based solely on output so far, Rioli would be ahead of Walker (If you were re-drafting I would definately have Walker higher as most do in this thread).

Despite missing games and playing in a very strong, dual premiership outfit, Rioli has finished 6th, 4th, 2nd, 8th and 6th in the B&F.

He has had 5-6 good to very good seasons and has been All-Australian.

Conversely, Walker has had one very good season (2012) and one "OK" season (2011) where he was still dropped multiple times (Rioli has never been dropped or even played a game at VFL level).

Whilst Walker's 2012 may have been the best of the lot and highlighted his potential to be a dominant KPF, at this point Rioli has done more. This is best emphasised by the 2008-2010 period as Rioli became a premiership player, runner up in the B&F and was named by the AFLPA as the best young player in the game (2008-2009). Meanwhile, Walker had played an entire season without cracking an AFL game ('08), was then dropped several times ('09-'11) and was publically demonised for not providing enough forward pressure (one of Rioli's greatest strength areas).

The fact that Walker's main role and primary strength is as a goalkicker and he has only kicked 4 more goals than Rioli further highlights that thus far, Rioli is ahead (I fully expect the gap to close once Walker is on the park).

Bellchambers?

Bellchambers?

I didn't have Bellchambers in there as he was a PSD pick. If I include him he slots in at 29, dropping Myers to 30 and Jarrad Grant off the list. This list is based purely on output so far - and for the record I think 2007 is a little too recent to judge definitively. Revisiting this list in a few years would likely see Bellchambers climb the list given that ruckmen tend to be late developers.

I don't really understand how you can not include the preseason draft but include the rookie draft.

Fair call. Have edited it to include PSD. As mentioned before, this is based solely on output to date, so the order might well change in future.
