There are still 30 or so bands to be released and I also saw somewhere that Rage Against the Machine and the Presets were on the line-up could be wrong though.

Not bad.

Dunno if I'll go this year. Last year was way too ****ing hot. Missed most of the day bands cos the temp was ridiculous.

ROFL. If Rage Against the Machine go . . .I'll . . . I cant even think of something worthwhile because it wont ever happen. :D

Pretty average lineup for such an expensive festival. Where are all the decent internationals? Good bands in Karnivool, Birds of Tokyo, Mammal, Midnight Juggernauts and Morcheeba but anyone who goes to this is being absolutely ripped off paying $210 a ticket. I cant believe that price.

Its a similar lineup to last year. For some reason they go for far more mainstream locals than falls does, but then some ridiculously non mainstream internationals, like the Black Keys.
Its a stronger lineup than last year probably, there will be a few more internationals in the second lineup.
Overall probably not as good as the Falls lineup, but more of a party, festival atmosphere form the bands.
I went to Pyramid last year and had a ball

anyone get tix today?

i went on the website before 9 and i was waiting until 10.15 before i was able to purchase my earlybird tickets!

i'm hopeing the second linup has xavier rudd, beautiful girls etc.

Still deciding if I'm goin to go or not. Do you reckon tickets would still be available tomorrow?

Fat Freddy's Drop!
Pity I'm about to become a poor uni student :(

I'm going.

screw the music though.

i'm just going to get ****ed up.

people like you make music festivals great

I'm thinking of going on ebay and buying some tickets to this, they're going at around cost and I don't have any plans for NYE yet. Black Keys will be quality, and the aussie acts on the ill are decent...

Really starting to get pumped for this, im not gong to lie falls was the first choice but there are some good local acts and black keys are bloody great.

Just got back.

Some of the bands ripped out some increadible performances, really made up for the thin spread, the cream at pyramid was easily as good as falls.

Namely:

Cut Copy, Ladyhawke (Cant split the two, both were increadible)
Black Keys (Fantastic NYE slot)
Birds of Tokyo
Gyroscope (Wasn't expecting much going there, but were very impressive. Last song was a cover of Beds are Burning, which was close to the best song of the festival imo.)
Drapht

Dishonerable mention: The Herd, never seen anything like it, were losing the crowd, which then began to do their own thing in the mosh pit, Urthboy lost it, jumped off the stage, and tried to jump the fence to go break up the shinadigans in the pit, was pulled back by security and then proceeded to go completely mental at the security guards for not stoping the crowd from "ignoring" him. He got back onstage and told that section of the crowd to "Get F*cked", of which they responded by pelting the stage with 50 odd shoes :D

HAHA that was gold but i thought the herd were great. It was also a pain in the arse to see all those bogan, southern cross tattoos w***ers throwing shit on stage and thinking its the best thing since sliced bread to just push people around in the mosh pit.

Birds of tokyo were the best gig of the festival imo with cut copy and some others coming in not far behind
