I think there will be other sides well positioned to take him on as a project type. Its just who wants to take the biggest risk. I'm not sure of his worth, is there any info on him by Emma Quayle, Wisbey etc.....?

No, he's a roughie. There have been a few sentimental stories in the papers about him but nothing from recruiters. He's definitely a PSD pick. He'd take years to get up to AFL standard.

Are we talking Liam Jurrah type PSD or Lance Picioane type PSD, if you get my drift....

he looks OK just going by that youtube highlights package but to give u an idea of what kind of impact he has on the game he averages 4 effective disposals a game

Well pass for me then, it doesn't matter if he kicks the goal of the year and takes mark of the year if they are part of only 100 possies for the whole year. Next please...

What if all of those kicks are goals? ;)

Majak Daw is very very raw, but so was Todd Goldstein when we picked him up. Daw has amazing athleticsm, and has taken to the game very well considering he has only been playing for 2 years. He is pretty inconsistant at TAC level, but he has had some prettty good games. Kicked 4 or 5 in game i recall, can take a very good grab and has an amazing leap.

The thing with him is i think he is too small to play ruck and not skillful enough to play KP or forward, i don't really know what you'd turn him into. Maybe a rookie but i wouldn't be punting on him in the ND.

I think we should look at getting Sean Tighe or Joel Houghton in the 3rd or 4th round. Both KP prospects.

Sean Tighe is from thr western jets, had a stellar year and won the jets b and f. Didn't make the vic metro side, and that was the kick in the bum he deserved. Since then he dominated at TAC level both in the backline and in the forward line, i'm pretty sure he was the jets leading goal kicker, and he is a really good mark. Tested really well at state screening and made the TAC team of the year. Good skills too.

Joel Houghton hails from WA. KP forward who is really good below his knees and he is super quick off the mark. Strong hands in the contest, and is a good shot for goal. Is a little on the skinny side but has a big frame to build on.

Fitness looks an issue but with a solid pre-season...

pans-labyrinth-1.jpg

Dunno if we could afford enough Sherrins given that he's a high possession winner and each time he gets his hands on the pill the bloody thing bursts! Not sure...............

yeah good call on joel houghton

never heard of him until that fred in the D & T board but he looks like a great prospect

Just curious guys, with our dilisted players and retirments, how many spots on the list does that open up. I think we may use 4 picks in the ND and one in the PSD. Do we have 5 picks ATM?

So my understanding and If I am correct.
Traded: Gibson
Delisted: Power, Harris, Wundke and Riggio. Smith? (Included for now)
Promoted: Garlett
Retirements: Simpson, Watt
Rookie list - Speight, White, Delaney, Obst, Meredith.
looks like AFL will increase the number you can have to 8.

We will have 8 picks, 5 to be on our primary list and 3 to go on the rookie list.

6 primary lists at the moment barring any more promotions (Gibbo, Power, harris, Wundke, Riggio,Smith Watt is 7 - Garlett)

I reckon we will have to at least rookie list a ruckman this year. We have need a developing one now Goldie is first team and there's questions on Hale's future. Petrie is hopefully a full time forward so we couldbe caught short

any word on Josh Thomas from QLD? remembered reading something about him rejecting a GC contract and that north were keen or had "promised" him that we would draft him according to one guy. seen his name pop up in a few phantom drafts though around 25 onward. Has anyone though of him in any recent phantom drafts?

Really hopes this guy slides to pick 21. Looks a likely type, and reminds me of ablett and a bit of cyril. good replacement for harvey in a couple of years.

Assuming no more delistings or Rookie promotions and JWS doesn't change his mind, we've got 7 picks to fill.

Our 6th pick in the ND is 53 but our 7th isn't until 85 (courtesy of the Gibbo trade).

So it's highly likely we'll take one player in the PSD.

Who's it going to be? Who's likely to available?
