From what i see on your list pace is not a problem, he'd be behind barlow but coud give your midfield that extra contested player releasing pav forward and allowing mundy to get outside.

I like Gilligan out of those playing in today's WAFL final - Rodger Hayden type that has pace and could play a role in a pocket at one end of the ground.

I'm with Chris 25 on this. They would only play a role off the rookie list. we can't afford to carry slow players at Subi. A slow player can only replace a slow player. the Carr, Hasleby thing just didn't work.

Guys like Blackwell and Valenti are already playing at their ceilings in my opinion. Plus these guys have been tried in the midfield at AFL level, unlike Lower who was always played in the back half.

They'd be the type you put on your rookie list, hoping you never had to play them because it would mean a huge injury list.

Fair enough. Barlow never really had the opportunity before us whereas those 2 have tried and not succeeded. That said Griff got played at Radelaide and bam he's not too bad here. I'm all about second chances, just not 6 or 7 or 8.

Gilligan looks good in space but there's a reason he didn't even get a chance at Richmond, Kyal Horsely is where it's at.

Unconventional kicking style but it's super effective, decent pace and as hard at it as any player.

Didn't do his selection chances any harm today, especially considering he was being tagged. Alroy looked good too.

Definitely. Horsely has been compared to a bit like priddis , from what I watched today , his kicking looked pretty good.

Yeah he is quicker though. Freo have been on the verge of recruiting him for the rookie list for quite a few years now. Doubt he will be around for that now. I think his game has finally fallen into place.
