Mark Latham your are a Fraking legend, a loose cannon yes, but a legend none the less!:D
The guts to say what needed to be said, however someone's got to win so his idea of placing your vote cards in blank doesn't quite have the same impact as say if you voted greens (they'll get the message then)

On saturdays result, the preffered PM polls IMO is probably what will be the best indicator to the Goverment being returned.

I wonder if for the second time this year we'll see the beauty of the Westminster system at work with government being won with sub-50% of the popular vote?

First point, the better option got elected first time(how diabolical that is, is of another time to ponder)
Second point would be, we are living in no democracy while we are being told what we are in order to get our vote!
Right now the radio station I listen to is being bombarded with tripe as is the TV stations I watch!
-Illegal immergration is out of control so I am told.
-The Economy is crap, the debt diabolical and out of control.
-New taxes, out of control.
-The School halls programs apparantly is all screwed up.
The informed know this not to be the case, in fact there's an argument that this comes under the description of what constitute's an act of terror! (spreading fear for political purposes)
I'm seriously so over democracy since we have only 2 choices of goverment , wank and w***er.

Although I have you on ignore, I will answer this question.
Reminds me of the Dwight Shrute "shunning" treatment of Andy Bernard!

crow-mo: Ok, when's this shunning thing going to end?

Brucetiki: Un-shun. Never. Re-shun.

Joffa and his Collingwood cronies reckon Julia's hatred of Collingwood could cost her up to 100 000 votes

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/sp...g-she-hates-pies/story-fn5ko0pw-1225907286357

more chance of the Collingwood v Adelaide broadcast losing 100 000 viewers to the election coverage once the game is over as a contest I reckon.

On a side note, what will people be watching Saturday night - the election coverage or the Crows. I'll be mainly watching the election, but the Crows will be on PIP at this stage.

Joffa's rationale is about as sensible as your Peacock comment.

is it just me or have both parties offically lost the plot.

Apparently we are now mean to be voting on the basis of who we shouldn't "risk" being the PM.

what a crock of shit.

The ultimate irony in it is that it was the line the Libs ran last time regarding Kevin Rudd, and it turned out they were right:eek: That we're supposed to take the same shit from Rudd's murderer is a bit much.

In other Gillard news supposedly she won a meat tray and helped a bloke win Keno at a carefully stage-managed Pub visit last night, if I know anything about Meat Tray raffles is that if you win one, you're pretty much certain not to win anything for months after!

Abbott, in a clearly less stage managed visit ordered a Shandy:( He always seemed so butch ...

Rudd was sacked for political reasons more than anything.

Its not like he did any real damage to the nation.

Agree. That was my poorly articulated point.

In our system no single person is that greatet 'risk' regardless of their competency. Typical bullshit rhetoric.

Actually, not true.

A leaders ideological war can have a huge impact. See howard on industrial relations.

You can argue we're usually sheltered from it, because of the nature of the senate, but that doesnt mean it shouldnt be an issue.

A democracy is only a democracy if its citizens are informed
How ironic a former american president said that!

A hung parliament would be a most fitting result. Both shitty major parties did absolutely nothing but throw out bullshit empty spin. Congratulations on your crap campaigns, ****wads. It would be a result they both deserve.

Oh and well done Longman for once again proving Queenslanders shouldn't be allowed to vote. Way to elect a prepubescent 20 year old named Wyatt with no political experience or qualifications whatsoever. :):thumbsu:

seriously Dandy, what makes him less qualified than any other new candidate?
Generally people who run for freaking parliament have some experience on say, local councils, or even committees on a smaller scale (ie student unions and whatnot). Even business experience, or university degrees. This dude literally lists NOTHING.
I mean sure, there's plenty of people who run with **** all relevant experience, but this dude got in with none!

lol
nice election for a labor fan :D:D:D

Dont look on the smaller scale (lower house)

sure, Libs will probably form a government, but take a look to the upper house

after this election the lower house will be split

Labor - 35
Liberals - 35
Greens - 9
Independance - 1

Libs aint gonna be getting much through

this nation will be going no where untill the next election when Labor destroy the shit out of the Coalition, all thanks to the Greens blocking the leftist policy by the Coalition.

Very interesting outcome, seems that the Labor support went to the Greens rather than the Libs.

Will be a very interesting three years, a hung parliament with the greens holding the balance of power in the senate.

You would think that if the Libs form a minority government they are going to want to have an amazing first term because most of those that didnt vote Labor voted for the greens and if Labor have a strong 3 years in opposition that those that voted green will come back next election.

If Gough Whitlam was a selfish bastard like those who he fought against he'd say "what comes around goes around" however its fair to say that there's to much at stake to think of such matters and he'd be as sad as most to think for possibly 3 years this country will go backwards with those with agenda's getting what they want (climate sceptics)
