If there was any lingering doubt about whether Schumacher deserves to be on the grid, last night it was dispelled for good. He was a champion in the era of endless testing, countless driving aids and even bigger financial disparity... but now he is just a dangerous, bitter, entitled, delusional, has been old hack. Rosberg has been half a second quicker at pretty much every track this year, basically making a mockery of his "comeback".
If I was Rubens I would have snotted Michael after the race regardless of the consequences. Plastered his nose over his smug little face and maybe broken a few teeth. That was the most dangerous driving move I've seen in F1 for a very long time, and it was entirely deliberate. Absolute c**t.
Once again Seb's lack of experience and racecraft cost him another win after dominating qualifying. The rules are clear as day and as an F1 driver he should have known them. Nobody to blame but himself, and his carry on after the race simply reinforces for the umpteenth time this season what an immature kid he still is.
Professionally I think not winning the drivers championship would be the best thing for Seb in the long term. He has lost more races this season due to his own errors than he has won, and his lack of maturity and grace has pretty much turned the F1 fan based against him (krauts excepted). He has pace but until he improves his racecraft and composure behind the wheel he has no chance of reaching his full potential. Wonder how long it will take before he learns his lessons? At the moment it looks like his head is still too far up his own arse to realise this (Marko's head is somewhere in the same vicinity, but he is licking & slurping furiously).
Originally I thought Webber staying out was another example of Horner bending Mark over for another round of unlubricated arse raeping, but turns out the call was Mark's and it was inspired. Given Seb's amateur hour mistake at the restart the race was presented to him on a platter given the enormous Red Bull car speed advantage. Mark and Seb get the credit but the real hero of the Red Bull team is undoubtedly Newey.
Kobayashi has become my favourite driver this year. Another brilliant drive to get into the points from pretty much the back of the field. Mercedes could do a lot worse than replace their $30m a year no 2 bitter old spud with him. I'd love nothing better than him being in a competitive car next year and simply being let loose.
Banzai Kamui-san! Banzai!
Completely agree with all of what you said.
Vettel's fast becoming the most disliked driver in F1, Schumacher not far behind.
Disappointed that Hamilton went out, Button had a poor race also, bad qualifying and then finished a lap down in the race. Not a good weekend for McLaren but with Spa and Monza coming up they should hopefully do well.
