Great write up once again spud:thumbsu:
Cause this is my first year on BF i dont know this but is there ever a poster of the year award? Spud you would get my vote for the supercoach catergory, All this write up stuff has been great, appreciate the effort.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

started in round 3, left about 3 mil in the bank. ran out of trades this week with getting Montagna for Barlow

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Thanks for the support everyone. I've been consistently hitting the 2500 mark and 2 weeks ago scored 2565 with 2 donuts. There goes my chance of SC immortality
Well done mate, very good effort, un-lucky on not getting the highest score but.

Got my highest weekly ranking this week which was 201, pretty proud with that, with Enright and Nick Nat getting poor scores.

Re: Round 15 Review

Thanks. Bartel would be better than Selwood/Boyd in the team of the week I think, but regardless, an excellent writeup.

Wow. Can't believe I missed him! Will have another look at it tonight and retinker with it. Cheers mate.

I started a thread at the end of last year where posters could give such an award. Even Judd_Magic got a few votes

Others to consider

Goodwin - averaging 120* vs Geelong since the start of 2005 (does not include a 2007 score of 11 - injured?)
Fisher - averaging 126 vs Collingwood since the start of 2006
Mitchell - averaging 119 vs Brisbane since the start of 2005
Cooney - averaging 113 vs Port since the start of 2005
Boomer - averaging 113 vs Richmond since the start of 2005
Green - averaging 118 vs Fremantle since the start of 2005

(*scores do not include pre-season or finals performances)

Op Shop

Defenders:
Fisher - $469,700 (Ave 92)
Gilbert - $460,200 (Ave 98)
Shaw - $449,900 (Ave 94)
Symes - $440,100 (Ave 91)
Duffield - $438,400 (Ave 94)

Midfielders
Gibbs - $516,800 (Ave 107)
Hayes - $484,600 (Ave 100)
Cooney - $476,200 (Ave 104)

Rucks
Jamar - $418,700 (Ave 85)
Kepler - $411,000 (Ave 95)

Forwards
Riewoldt - $544,100 (Ave 104)* Wait for another two weeks :)
Daisy - $460,400 (Ave 95) - again, a good F7
Goodes - $395,900 (Ave 87)
Sylvia - $390,800 (Ave 82)

New Kids on the Block

Those about to play their 3rd game:
Defenders: N/A
Midfielders: Jarryd Blair (COLL) $100,200 (Ave 92) - been going great guns, knows where the goals are. Probably came a few week too early for most though.
Rucks: N/A
Forwards: Dennis-Lane (SYD) $94,200 (Ave 42) - Has been dropped, but IS listed as an emergency, could still play against Carlton.

Talking Points

1. Collingwood vs St Kilda - Or is it Malthouse vs Milne? :D Can't wait for 70,000+ to pack the G on Saturday arvo to see the match of the round.

2. The Week of the CHF - Brown, Riewoldt, Buddy. One injured, one returning and one will be ripe for the picking in 2-3 weeks time. Easily the three biggest players under the spotlight this week.

3. Mitchel IN, Sewell OUT - The Hawks regain their skipper, but drop Sewell due to a poor run of form.

4. Is Ablett still perma-captain material? - Averaging 111 over the last 5 weeks, where he's put up scores of 79, 106 & 97. Personally, I've gone with Selwood (c) & Nicky Dal (vc) this week.

5. Richmond's Streak - Can the Tigers make it 6 from their last 7 against the Kangaroos on the weekend? This guy <<< reckons they can :)

Re: spud_jjj's Round 16 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Buddy out
Herald Sun

This will test peoples forward lines

I wouln't be surprised if PODS was a late withdrawl as well

Buddy and Pods out would hurt me this week :( At least I can bring Rocky and Hitchcock on this week.

Tonight's players:

Enright, Ablett (C), Selwood, Bartel, Chapman, Pods.

Would like 800 from this group.

When they all get rested soon i won't be laughing about having 6 :(

At least most parts of my field are covered in case

Re: spud_jjj's Round 16 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

I don't mean to alarm you, but there are a few rumours going around that Gary Ablett is not going to play tonight due to a corkie. Completely unfounded at this stage, but there are a few tweets about it. I look forward to seeing what (if anything) comes of this throughout the afternoon...

Re: spud_jjj's Round 16 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

SEN always run an Ablett out rumour every friday arvo.

I smells bullshit

Re: spud_jjj's Round 16 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Only concern i have is Franklin not playing, my overall ranking will likely take a hit at the conclusion of this round.... i should beat my league opponent this round (judging by his run of scores vs mine over the last few rounds). Wouldn't surprise me if i get lower than 2000 this week though.

No changes to either side tonight.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/98378/default.aspx

Gone with a smoky for Captain this week and given big Sandilands the gig. Averaging 123 at home this year and playing the Dees just seems too good to pass up.

Tonight: Enright Goodwin Ablett Bartel Chapman & Pods. Hoping for a good Friday night.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 16 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Nice work as always spud. :thumbsu:

Love the video. My personal favourite is number 2, Quagliarella (lol, think I spelt that right?) against Slovakia. So classy.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 16 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Gunna give Hodge a crack. Not in the greatest form but he's a champ playing against an average team in Launceston. Should be in for a cracker hopefully.
