Re: Round 18 Preview

Little whispers that Watson & Clinton Jones might miss tonight.

Andrew Welsh was on Channel 10 less than an hour ago, saying Watson would play.

The lads on TripleM still think Jobe might miss.

When do the final teams get put through? I'm not going to make my trades until the final few minutes.

Supposedly 30 mins before the bounce, but we saw how late Wells was pulled out last Saturday night.

Captain's Corner

All of a sudden Hodge vs Port is jumping out at me... Scored 136 against them earlier in the year, and is averaging 118 over the past 5 weeks..:(:confused:

I'm tossing up between Hodge and Goddard this hasn't made the decision any easier.

Re: Round 18 Preview

Watson playing. Phew! Had no cover if he missed. Jones out, which means Watson may go untagged. Hopefully he can repeat that massive score he got vs St Kilda last season!

Averages 122 against the Saints since the start of 2008 (which does include a 196 last year)
Averages 116 over the past five weeks
Averages 102 at Etihad this year.

No Clinton Jones might = 150+

I can only hope he has a big one!

Decided to go Hodge skipper, one reason is I genuinly want Ablett to stink it up tomorrow night. I can trust Hodge to deliver 140+ though.

Having second thoughts. With no Bartel, Ablett may get more midfied time. I can only back my lads in to stop him from ripping us a new one!

WIll trade Roo in next week, for whoever has the worse game out of Hall/Brown. If they score similar, Brown is out.

Re: Round 18 Preview

With Bartel out Ablett will play most of the game in the midfield, considering his record against us, too hard to pass up

Re: Round 18 Preview

Well, I trusted spud_jjj last week with Nicky Dal and that didn't work well...

but I'm going to keep the faith. Goddard it is.

Haha, fair call.

But I'm not the one who's responsible for pressing your 'C' button :p:D:thumbsu:

I didn't count on dirty Campbell Brown smashing him in the snoz! haha.

Really, you can't go wrong with Goddard/Swan/Hodge/Gaz this weekend.

Re: Round 18 Preview

Captain Selwood it is again! In ripper form the last few weeks and l  the boy.

Goddard 135 :thumbsu:
Montagna 102 :thumbsu:
Roo 107 :thumbsu:
Saints Loss :thumbsu:

Re: Round 18 Preview

Ablett captain against the Swans for me this week. Hoping for a repeat of earlier this year. :thumbsu:

Roo, NDS and Montagna tonight. 400 would do. :D No, in all seriousness, 300 would be a nice start.

Re: Round 18 Preview

Aside from the embarrassing showing by my lads, a fairly decent night SC-wise. 447/4
Goddard
Dal
Montagna
Roo

And I finally caved and gave the C to Hodge over Gazza. Opponent's captain is Selwood, which is a worry, but at least if Gaz cuts sick we'll both just get the one score out of him.
