Re: Round 8 Captain

Loving my move last night, putting the (c) on Selwood instead of Swan and to cap it off I tipped the Cats as well!

Re: Round 8 Captain

Rolled the dice on Goodes as captain, counting on him to have a big game against Port at home.

Glad I decided to avoid Swan as captain with him scoring just 98.
Nearly did this, but went Sandi instead. I know he has Cox and NN to contend with, but i'm feeling a huge one at Subi. The guy cannot be stopped.

Re: Round 8 Captain

had sandi last week - coming off a bye, he was gonna be fresh and looking to dominate, which he did. will do the same next time freo have a bye.

Gonna go out on a limb this week and overlook Collingwood/Geelong

No Jamar, Scully, Trengrove, Grimes, ruckman of any note = points for A Swallow (C)

note. goldstein, north ruck, had a huge game 150+. ive been happy so far this year in combo with sandi.

Surely the weather takes out all of tonights paticipants - it is terrible in Melbourne.

selwood (C) 100th, lots of stoppages in the conditions, sure enough he comes thru with a beauty. swan has been below par lately. needs to return to last years form before he sees the big C again.

and anyone notice the former perma captain ? a juicy 195.

Re: Round 8 Captain

Watson seems like a top choice for captain so far

Should have picked Selwood like usual.

Now subbed off... Awesome.

Re: Round 8 Captain

my gamble to have mumford as C, against a poor ruck team, backfired... only scored 90. couldnt repeat the 150+ score vs Carlton at SCG, early this year. hope it doesnt cost me

Round 9 Captain

Last week 43% of us weren’t willing to take the (c) off Swanny and were punished for it with only a 98 (Swan’s lowest score for the year!)

This week our perma, Swan faces one of his worst teams in Adelaide, with scores of 100, 122, 100, 79, 93 in his last 5 @ an average of less than 100, I’m thinking it might be time to not play it so safe.

Of the rest, Monty averages a lazy 144 against Melbourne in his last 5. With scores of 155, 155, 146, 141, 125 and a week off, and the cliché ‘owing the club’ he might just pull off another monster.

Goodesy, Mr Inconsistent himself has been nothing but against the Hawks with a ridiculous average of 141 in his last 5 with scores of 114, 106, 166, 183, 135 reckon he’s another good (scary, exciting) option.

Still deciding myself but pretty sure I won't be putting it on Swan

Re: Round 9 Captain

Took Mundy last week, quite happy as 4 out of 5 opponents took Swan.
Thinking Goodes this week or maybe Mundy again or Sandi.

Interesting week on the captain front. Adelaide are a rabble, and more of a rabble away from home (Demons game) so if the Pies dont take their foot off the pedal, it could be big scores from Swan, Pendles and Shaw.

Hawks are more competitive this year so Swans will have a fight on their hands. Hawks superstars will steal points off Goodes no matter what the outcome.

If Ling was to play on Judd then Judd would help himself to 130+ like he did in the early round last year. Ling WAY too slow. Worse luck was that ling didnt play in the second encounter and someone else tagged the juddly!

Sandi has to come into play vs Port and Brogan! I just hate picking a giraffe!

Re: Round 9 Captain

considering mr perma captain played half the game up forward against the cats, makes me nervous there could be a niggle with mr swan or at the very least a workload management going on....
if freo dont name a back up ruck (apart from kepler) then Sandi it is

Made a very similar comment last week. It was a perfect night for Swan to cut-loose and run the legs off his opponent while having his (perceived) lack of foot skills evened out because of the wet weather. Definitely reckon it's a possibility...

Re: Round 9 Captain

Didn't realising when i was compiling the stats but **** me don't the Saint boys like playing the dees.

Melbourne been down the bottom, Saints at the top for most of the past few years. No surprises. :D

Geez Goodes loves Hawthorn. That's a random stat in that collection.

Pretty sick option looking at Mundy's past scores as well as Port's opponent's scores last week.. Bolton 146, JPK 140, McVeigh 121, Goodes 124, ROK 118. The Swan's midfield absolutely feasted :thumbsu:
