2011 Rds 6-7 Trades Mega Thread

Only a day between rounds so planning mine early.

My early thoughts are
Krak -> Russell, Wallis, Hibberd, Winmar
Lower -> Grimes

Risky ass options the last 2 but i need their mpp flexibility, especially Winmar's and i don't think either are that far away.

Lower out early because of their bye coming up and Krak because his bye is the week after and i want to get rid of any sub type players.

They're risky and perhaps a little premature but Grimes has a great record against West Coast and with both Broughton and Lower out next week might just gain me some much needed points.

Krakeour --> J. Riewoldt here probably.

I'd love to bring in Hibberd (or another DEF/MID) in to my defenders so I can switch Heppell for him because my midfield bench is stupidly strong compared to my defence, but until one of them is actually getting games there's really not much I can do in good conscience.

He's made $60k on his $100k-ish starting price, and will make more after this week...

No you're right, he probably would've only made 100k after this week if he's not the sub which is probably 50-100k short of what i would've liked but he missed that one week (and price increase). With the extra trades and so many cows mooing touch wood, i'm gonna go aggressive and trade a week or two early.

Same boat here. I want to swap Heppel ASAP. I don't trust my other bench cover though so I can't have one of my bench not playing at all.

I'm really looking to get Boak out ASAP, he's had 5 weeks and just hasn't done anywhere near as well as I would have liked. I want a unique player, would it be too sideways to trade Boak for Scott Thompson or even Dustin Martin?

Or I could trade in a cash cow too and upgrade to Selwood?

Fwd: Franklin, N Riewoldt, Goodes, Rioli, Harvey, O'Keffe, J Reiwoldt (Tapscott, Darling, Matera)

Although I'm thinking of making one of Harvey or O'Keffe a 'permanent mid (F6)' so I can bring in Tippett for one of Darling and Tapscott in a few rounds (keeping the other rotating through the team with byes etc)

With Suban out for what eight or so that improves his job security unless Ibbotson snaffles his spot. He obviously doesn't have Otten to offload.

Nah I have a 'weak' midfield but a good trade stratergy - Selwood, GAJ and Judd to come in over the next 4-5 rounds.

Would Krak for Darling be too ridiculously sideways at this point, or is there still money to have? Have him and Richardson, and would love to shed both as soon as possible.

Sitting pretty at the moment, thinking about J Roo but will probably wait a week or two for Didak/Chappy/Selwood instead.

At this point in time, I'd be happy to trade Didak for an inanimate carbon rod.

Would improve my team I'd say.

Will then have this forward line -

N.Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, J.Riewoldt, Higgins, Petrie.


Looking at getting Chappy in as my last forward maybe.

Need to start bolstering the midfield too as I only have 3 premiums in there. Will grab Selwood soonish.

A lot of people seem to be jumping on J.Riewoldt. At his price he's pretty tempting, but just having a look at his scoring last year (plus this year) he seems pretty inconsistent. Still a bit unsure about him.
