Nason getting moved to a lower number must mean the club have alot of faith in him.

Don't mind nase getting a number in his 20s, did enough to deserve it with the amount of games played and some of the form he showed through his first season.

I'm not sure about grigg at 6 though?! Sure he played a few games for the tankers, but didn't exactly tear it up, and has done sfa in a tiger jumper so far. Reckon single digits should be reserved for genuine tiger stars who've earned their stripe, or at very least a champion player who comes from another club like nathan brown.

Grigg has got a fair bit to do before he deserves it if that's the way we're handing out numbers these days..

Why would the new draftees get numbers that are lower than last years draftees?? What's going to happen next year? They'll be getting numbers in the 20's??

griggs doesn't deserve such a low number like 1 if he just got here. what number are graham, browne and vickery? he can't start off with a lower number than them

He has enough on his plate now walking in the footsteps of previous legends of the no 6 in the chaffster. I hope he has enough spit for his palms. ;)

Who's our most famous #13? I can't really think of one. Matthew Wall. Matty Francis....
The player who played the most games in the #13 jumper for RFC is Joe Murdoch who played 180 games between 1927-36.

The most famous Tiger though is probably Phil Egan who played all of his 125 games in the #13 RFC jumper between 1982-90.

There really are only a few players who made their name in the number #13 RFC jumper!

Hmm - considering Joe Murdoch played in 6 GFs (winning 2), I think the phrase you want re Phil Egan is 'better-known' rather than 'most famous'. The teams Murdoch played in had a 75% winning record.

Yeah very true, that is what I meant to say. Much more people would know Phil Egan than Joe Murdoch. :)

I'm rather superstitious... so l'm the kind of person that if l was given a number - like 36 for example - and l had an awesome season first up... l'd be reluctant to change anything.

Just back myself to make the number l was given to memorable (hopefully in a good way) for all the right reasons.

I'd be happy with (a) 69 if they gave it too me.

:D
