Thought that it would be a good idea for a thread covering all things Finals, including all three grades.

Week 1 fixture

First Semi-Final
Subiaco vs South Fremantle
Medibank Stadium, Sunday September 11, 2:15

Second Semi-Final
Claremont vs West Perth
Claremont Oval, Sunday September 11, 2:15

Colts and Reserves Fixtures TBC
 
My Finals Predictions...

Semis
Subiaco vs South Fremantle - 15 points
Claremont vs West Perth - 13 points

Preliminary Final
West Perth vs Subiaco - 4 points

Grand Final
Claremont vs West Perth - 9 points (Please don't be too close, I can't handle the stress any more!!)
 
As disappointing as it is to not have East Perth playing a part in the Finals I'm actually looking forward to this series and being able to watch games purely as a neutral.

It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out, East Fremantle looked the team most likely for a while there but then were comfortably beaten by the teams they were fighting it out with for the Top 4 spot. Subi have shown some good form lately as well, while South with the squad they have can't be counted out.

I think the winner, as it usually does, will come from the Top 2 and as an East Perth supporter I truly hope that it is Claremont.

Here's to another cracking finals series.

Please lose the mediocre form displayed at too many games this year.
Please turn up for the Second semi final and win it.
Please also turn up for the Grand Final and win that one too.

It's been a while since our last one and I don't know when we'll get another chance as good as this the way footy is going.

Would assume they are before the League games at 2:15pm. First semi finals in the other grades would be at Medibank and the second semi games would be at Claremont Oval. That would pose a problem in the Colts are Claremont as supposed to be the away team for the second semi in that grade.

God I hope I am wrong, depends on injuries and attitude in the finals. If we win this week, I can see Subi beating West Perth.

This thread will probably be a Claremont circlejerk but I hope us munchers can at least make the Grand Final. We've had a great year but it's been a long one and it's been starting to tell for a good month now. Claremont should flog us in the 2nd semi and with Murphy etc out, hopefully we can do enough in the prelim and we get Bradley cleared to play.

I see Headland might be rushed back for Subi's 1st semi. We all know what happened last time Headland was rushed back for a semi final don't we.

Again, at home Subi seem to have a fairly decisive advantage, although Anthony is back in. :p
