I'm really disappointed with the 2009 and 2010 Knight ones.

Loved the Weg posters. The new ones have a completely different feel to them, not in the tradition of the old ones.

Weg Art = clearly the best. However the Pies Weg World one was awesome.

Were it not for tradition, no one would be championing the WEG ones. He wasn’t an exceptional drawer.

In generations to come who knows, people might have the same view of tradition over Mark Knight's. I don’t mind his style and am glad he's not emulating WEG.

However I must admit that tradition has gotten to me, as I still prefer the WEG art out of those three.

This was produced for the reunion of the 1963 Premiership side in 2003.

The original WEG released in 1963 was this one:

I saw the Pies one on the news. Had two magpies standing back to back with a cup in the middle. The heading at the top had 'BACK TO BACK' and both Magpies had the tattoo sleeve. Saw the cats one as well and it was an oldish cat running with the cup.

Both looked pretty cool.

Agree, it always adds some excitement both for the eventual winners and the 'what could've been' camp.

Poor effort by TFS.

Fwiw really don't like Mark Knight's effort, very much going with a faddish look that doesn't work. WEG was nice and simple, looked good and really summed it up well.

Would rather they went with the full cache of WEG ones for the next 30 years then went back to the drawing board. By that time Knight might've improved.
