Not a fan of McBean Tigs, think he would definitely be one we would/should consider for picks 32-43.

Not really tbh. He's ok. Maybe I just haven't seen enough of him. You'd be drafting him as a 2nd ruck but IMO he's not a ruck outside of being tall. He's also a massive development project as he's a stick insect. I also think his skills are overrated.

I actually think Conca's kicking is a bit of a weakness, not a strength (gets under them a bit much & lacks penetration). His hands are nearly elite though, doesn't fumble and has a very good handball in general, quick hands, hence i agree more with 'theflea' re: his opinion of Conca as more an inside mid. Concs also lacks a yard of pace to be very damaging on the outside but in saying that, he knows where to run which is just as important, so he will be linking up well as he follows the play very good. Hope that made sense

i agree he lacks penetration but i do think his kicking is fine. he does however shank a few largely due to fatigue which with more fitness will go away.

I think there is something in your theory Rambo. But I think more importantly dimma wants competitors. Think we'll go Vlastuin which will potentially free up cotch and dusty a little more and add a real hard edge to the midfield. The kid is going to be a brute. Already almost dustin dimensions as listed on sheeahns top 30 I think. 187 and 86kg and he loves throwing his wait around.

I still think you should and will take Vlastuin, but would you guys rule out the possibility of Richmond taking a KPP with pick 9? I'd imagine Kristian Jaksch would be one you're looking at, and providing Brisbane don't take him, I think there's a chance you will.

I doubt it. It seems that the only tall which demands picking is Grundy, the rest are, like the midfielders, promising prospects, and as such I'd rather Richmond just pick for type/best available anyway, which could easily be someone like Vlastuin or Macrae, depending on how Jackson thinks. I get Grundy over Macrae and Vlastuin, but Jaksch makes less sense, given Richmond have much better KPP depth than ruck depth, as the depth chart that Richmond mod posted.

If you look at Richmond's KPP stocks, most of them are 23 or younger, so there's plenty to work with. I'd rather Richmond try and work with the likes of Chaplin, Rance, Grimes, Vickery and Riewoldt than try and find a new KPP. And remember that Richmond also have Griffiths, Astbury and Elton to fit into that picture as well. I see that as a decent group and I suspect Post was delisted not only because Hardwick thought he wasn't afl standard but also because he felt we were covered for KPPs going forward and that he was surplus to requirements, and that Richmond had to delist someone else to be able to use the 43rd pick in the draft. It doesn't make that much sense to delist Post because he wasn't needed then draft another KPP. I agree that Jaksch is a much better prospect than Post but that still doesn't change the fact that it's not the main area of need. I also think the good thing about a guy like Hannath is that if he plays in Maric's absence (or even if Maric plays), he could rotate into the forwardline anyway.

The reason why Vlastuin has been touted is because Richmond think that Tuck needs replacing eventually and Foley is injury prone, and I feel Newman has a succession plan in Ellis and Batchelor. Either way I think Richmond will go all smalls with possibly a mature aged ruckman.

Yeah McBean I'm not a huge fan of either. Too far to go, won't be active in our window, and doesn't even really play as a ruckman. More a very tall defender and I'm not sure he has the speed/agility to defend at the next level. We have Griffiths for that already anyway.

Actually could be a surprise pick for your lot at pick 9. While I doubt you'll take him over say Vlastuin, I think Lonergan fits your mob perfectly, even moreso than Hrovat and the aforementioned Vlastuin. A strong, robust, no-nonsense tackling machine, gets plenty of the ball, very fast and has a great leap to boot. Don't think there's a hope in hell he'll last to pick 32 however.

Sam Landsberger thinks he could last till mid 20's so take out a couple of picks (Melb & Adel) then throw in Tippett and maybe Jacobs and it's not out of the question. He said a few clubs think he could be the slider.

Im not really concearned about selection #9 and tbh doesnt really faze me because its such a predictable event now with probably only 3-4 players that we will be looking at at that selection anyway - BUT #32 - #34 - #43 are a different kettle of fish. The chances are that around 4-5 players that people are writing up as top 20-25 picks will still be on the board with our other selections really excites me - Just imagine

Cool that's what I'm after. Really liking Garner if Vlaustin and Grundy are gone. But then again like if said before love the look of Macrae too. Just so much talent on offer.

This is a definite possibility. Grundy could go to anyone before us, Vlastuin suits port very well (although I hope they take a South Australian)...

I would like Menzel, would be excited about him, yet weary. Also would be very excited about Clurey/Plowman if we go for a KPP/Bigger body player. McRae/O'Rourke/Wines all on par for me

Would also be content with Clurey, maybe even Stringer. Jeez there's a lot of talent in the draft, I'll be excited with whoever Richmond picks methinks. I'll put my faith in them haha

At the end of the day I totally agree with this, the club knows best. I'd prefer a mid of some sort besides Grundy. But yeah whoever we get should be a quality kid.
