10 wins would be a big jump though. If the ball had bounced the other way, I guess you could argue we could have gotten 6 wins this year. Increasing it to 10 would be a big step.

I would probably agree. I don't think it's so much he hasn't come on, he's just been hit so ahrd with injury this year. He did show a bit off HB.

But with our younger players now at ~35 games, he still sits on a grand total of 8. It's difficult to say what he can add to the 22.

I wouldnt mind seeing Coad come back for 2013 on the rookie list, just no room for him to be promoted.

Why do you say there's no room on the SL for him? We don't have that much depth for our key defenders do we?

Player get injured, thats pretty much guaranteed. Always room for Coad to be promoted mid year.

We have limited room on our senior list thus his retention as a rookie.

Next year we'll probably look at giving our first round draft pick from last year a run too, Henry Schade. He's coming along pretty well. Another pre-season to give him some bulk and he could be in line for debut.

Also Rory Thompson standing in the wings. Was showing very good signs as a FB, and likely would have come straight back into that spot had it not been for Dixon showing awesome signs.

I love Hutchy, thought he was pretty good in the first year when he got a game. Shame he'll probably get delisted due to constant injury niggles.

Tape is certainly not a KPD prospect. He's a third tall type. He's also been very handy for us in shutting down small forwards. I think that will more be his role from now on.

McKenzie obviously not a KP prospect either.

Moloney has officially left the Dees.

People say he has no defensive game, but he average a little over 4 tackles a game in 2011. Certainly seems alright for me?

I hope we at least look at him. Big bodied mid who can take some pressure off the others. Though we aren't really a stoppage team, so that could test him.

I mean this in the friendliest way possible, but how much footy have you seen him play? I think he is sub-par compared to any player in our midfield. I get what you're saying about having another mature aged body in to be an extractor, but I reckon he is really not up to standard. I don't rate his disposal, or his decision making. He's hard at it, but he's not overly quick. To me he would suit the mud pit at the 'G in a wet Melbourne winter but would struggle in the heat up on the Coast where disposal becomes more important. Given that we need to cull the list, I don't reckon we need him.

I'd look at getting Shannon Byrnes before Moloney. Byrnes is apparently a really good clubman, high character guy. Great disposal, good decision maker.
Some of the things I've heard about Moloney... He sounds to be a real shit of a bloke to be honest. Really don't want him around our kids for that reason alone.

Sorry for the double post. Just thought I'd throw Byrnes name up if we're after an experienced mid.
