Great to see OT back on the Test itinerary for Australia. With the redevelopment, should mean more opportunity for tickets. Disappointed there is no Birmingham or Leeds for the tests, but I guess the ECB needs to spread out the matches a bit.

Love the four county matches, but wish they still had the fixture at arundel to kick off the tour. A chance for the county sides to get some punters in for tourist cricket. Hope the weather is good for those matches, and indeed all the matches (big wish, I know). Taunton and Worcester are two of my favorite county grounds, so a wonderful start there.

I haven't checked current names, but I'm assuming the Ageas Bowl is the former Rose Bowl ground for Hampshire.

Not a bad touring itinerary- do miss the older tours where they played more matches against the counties, but that won't happen in these days of big international matches.

4 touring matches would be the most we've had in the last few tours wouldn't it??

from memory in 2005 we only had one beforehand and one in the middle wasn't it??

plus the champions trophy is in England next year just before this all.
What's everyone's thoughts on 10 Ashes Tests straight? The 2013 series may be devalued as bit as result for mine.

Durham, really?

But I can see why they are doing it. Wouldn't want Australia to have a WC in England plus the Ashes in the same british Summer. As long as both sides are competitive then it wont be Overkill, will be exciting.

Mum and dad are heading over to the UK for a holiday next year, and will be in Nottingham for the 1st day at Trent Bridge if they can get tickets. Anyone got any tips? If they can't get to that one they will try for a Middlesex home game or even the Sussex/Australia match later on their trip.

I got Trent Bridge tickets for last years; test (v India) through the club website. But you are talking Ashes and the first test match- that will be very tough. You may want to suck it up and try StubHub.

If you are a member of a club Down Under, check with them about possible reciprocity with Nottinghamshire- I got tickets for headingley in 1997 through the Queensland Cricketers' Club, where I was a member.
