BUGGER! I was desperate for Scharenburg or Aish.

Bontempelli has the upside to develop into the KPP we have been crying out for, just forget the Mid field, he can play through there now. So much upside to this fellow, just hope we take him.

Apparently can get up to a fair speed but takes a while to get there - can you play as a Key forward without that speed over the first 5m?

Doesnt mean he wont be effective running into the forward area from the midfield though. I wonder ho many goals he has kicked from the midfield for the Northern Knights?

Elite endurance but poor acceleration. Trying my best but I just can't see it with this guy.

I just don't see why we would pass on Scharenberg/Aish for Bontempelli.

I'll be disappointed, but I'll back the clubs judgment. I would of preferred to get Kolodjashnij though if we wanted a tall, versatile player.

Yeah I was thinking the same. But judging by other tweets of hers, it seems like clubs are concerned about Aish's lack of contested and defensive game. Which I know is disputed by his supporters on here. But apparently that's why some clubs are a little hesitant to rate him so highly, and there was a slight concern with his shoulder still. We all know Macca is big on the contested side of Football.

I'd say it is a yes, especially with the jealous tag at the end of her tweet, that gives it away haha. Being a Pie fan, and the fact he was tipped to go there for awhile, and that they are fans of his.

I have a feeling Brisbane will swoop on one of them. And if Aish is around Melbournes pick, they will grab him. I don't think they will get both. At least I hope not haha.

Adams, Kennedy, Aish, Scharenberg (assuming he makes the transition), Grundy. Already looking like a solid midfielder unit.

Bontempelli really excites me but like I have said he should use his larger frame to impose himself at the contest
If he had his numbers may of been more consistent over the champs

It is also possible we watched him a lot last year, whilst tracking Nathan Hrovat and the recruiters saw something even back then

Hahaha - apart from his inconsistency I'm actually quite high on Bontempelli's ability and potential. There are some weaknesses that really put me off but the reason I'm so against picking him is simply because I don't see where he fits in. More to the point, I don't see how he makes our midfield core better or more well-rounded. I'll type something up a bit later.
