I did a quick search and could not find a pre-existing thread. If one has already been started (mods) please feel free to merge or delete or whatever.

Adelaide's player prices have already been revealed. As follows:

On the Fantasy website, it lists Petrenko as bargain pick... I don't think so! Can't see him playing more than 12-14 games in 2014.

I'm thinking the only player I'll pick up will be Tex, especially with the prospect of a round one return - he's going cheap! Might also consider Dangerfield or Battersby for the bench.

I'm glad they gave Danger back his FWD position. Makes him much more of an attractive option for fantasy. He wasn't fantastic value last season, didn't consistently make huge scores, but I could see him turning that around next year.

Could be back round 1, but I think with our recruitment of Podsiadly that we won't rush his return, thus giving him the full 12 months to complete his rehab. The issue then becomes how long it takes for him to return to form, considering it is extremely common for guys to take another 12-18 months to get back to close to their pre-injury output.

Andy Otten injured his knee in the 2010 preseason and whilst he was playing in 2011, it was probably only last season that we really saw the same ability that he showed back in 2009 when he came 2nd in the NAB Rising Star.

Personally I'd be holding off on Tex at this stage, if he comes back and plays a good game or two, then maybe consider him.

Danger the only guy I have locked in so far. Henderson and Smith are looking like potential picks, but I'll be skipping Jacobs this year and rolling the dice on ruckman like Grundy, Longer and Sandilands.

McEvoy could be a decent option, especially now he is with the Hawks. Although, his price has gone up.

Only two this year ....Dangerfield but i am going with Crouch to hit big numbers as he was super in the last third of the year and averaged 87 SC points in his first season



Also had $10 on Charlie to win the Brownlow

Not sure about Hendo, maybe a bit too expensive for what he'll end up getting. If I don't go with him want to find another unique defender. Tex is obviously best case scenario, I reckon he'll be well worth his price.

McEvoy could be a decent option, especially now he is with the Hawks. Although, his price has gone up.

Thing I don't like about him is he's a shit tap ruckman and in games he shared ruck duties last year with Tom Hickey he only averaged 86 or so. I'd rather skip him initially and look at bringing him in later as an upgrade target later in the season.

Has never been a huge fantasy scorer over the years, but I really think Eddie Betts could thrive being the only 'good' small forward at AFC. Priced at an average of 59 from 2013 I could see him scoring in a similar trend to a Michael Walters.

Like I said, his scoring history doesnt support the claim, but I reckon he could be in for an average of around 80 and be a smoky mid pricer to help you upgrade to those premiums later on.

One thing I have noticed, players are much more expensive this year than last. It's going to be difficult to put together a 2000 points+ team.

Crows players I included:

Kerridge - My tip to replace VB, so he should play a lot of footy.
Tex - He's cheap, so I'm keeping him on the bench until he plays.

Unlimited trades until round one usually, then two trades weekly.

Danger is looking like the only solid option for round 1 unless one of your young guys really steps up in the NAB Cup. Even if Tex plays round 1 I'd be watching him till the 3 game price change and make a decision then.

The others of interest have quite a few question marks over their heads and less riskier options to be had elsewhere.

Also, get on the Real DT instead, run by the guys that have run DT (now called Fantasy) for the past 10+ years with better prizes.

If it helps, there won't be centrebet this year so that's a trade off, sportsbet probably not worth playing either.
