Some reports suggesting Schroder also being considered by one or two clubs.

Will keep a listen out for his name too.

Wouldn't mind us having a look at Aaron Vandenberg with our 2nd pick.

Has the ability to absolutely rack it up, which I'm not convinced that too many of our current crop do. Isn't a dreadful user of the footy either.
Good call - he went at pick 2 to Melbourne.

Surely we now have the tallest list in the league

200cm....
Ruckman/tall forward who is still developing but played an important role for South Australia in winning the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. Can take a strong mark, is mobile as a tall forward and competitive by nature. Averaged a goal a game in four appearances during the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. Averaged 13 disposals and five marks at Under-18 level with Sturt. Finished equal-fifth in the standing vertical jump (72cm) at the NAB AFL Draft Combine.

LOL at passing on the best key defender (McLaren) available, who went 2 picks later for another forward/ruck.

Looking forward to Selwood perhaps playing full back in 2 years.

I wonder who the guys is the WC just picked

ha ha. Took Delaney off North.

Looks more like a ruck that can play forward.

So no second chance for Brown, Schroder, Stringer, Burbury....
Bit disappointing but perhaps confirms that the right call was made if no-one has picked them up.

I think most suggested we needed another longer term ruck prospect and he fits the bill with some natural upside, but on paper we look tall!

I suspect North intended to re-rookie Delaney, but perhaps after their first two draft picks were tall defenders maybe something was said between the coaches/brothers given we have shown interest in this guy before, very hard to say, but as a pick 32 in the rookie draft it's worth the risk.

Overall trade/draft/rookie we seem to have at least attempted to plug as many holes as we can. I look forward to seeing how they all develop now.

I quite like our picks. We finally have a good young true no.1 ruckman on our list. Delaney is ready to go as a KPD as well. Can see him being elevated as early as next year with the impending retirements of Lonergan and Rivers.
