Who is taking Weller? I agree he won't be there but just wondering if you'd heard something. I've heard Crows like Ahern a lot.

Gold Coast , Adelaide & Even West Coast could be tempted depending on how things fall with Pickett but i havnt heard anything to backup my thoughts as they are only my opinion of the player but i didnt hear that Geelong have spoken to Langford and seem to be really interested

I wish we could trade on draft day. It's an amazing thing to see. Imagine if Weller doesn't get picked up till pick 11. We then go and say we will give you pick 12 and something else for pick 11. It would not only be beneficial for teams but create a massive spectacle.

Speaking of which, Draft Day with Kevin Cosner is a great movie and must see.

Fourth overall.

I don't include Heeney in my rankings as he has gone. If I do well Heeney is number one for mine. Think he ends up being the best player taken from this draft.

Petracca next, Brayshaw then Weller.

Weller for mine does it all. Smart, skilled, great kid with hunger to be the best. Mindset of a young Jimmy Bartel.

Duggan's been spoken about for our pick range all year. Not really a reach. Menadue and Ellis though, definitely.

The guys job is to get trade draft goss.

Duggan's been spoken about for our pick range all year. Not really a reach. Menadue and Ellis though, definitely.

I've been a fan of Duggans most of the year, well since the early form of Petracca & Brayshaw saw any chance of us landing them disappear. Since then it's been Laverde Weller Duggan Ahern for mine and IMO Duggan still seems like the pick we'll get, I threw him in as a response to the names Gun had put forward. In fact I wouldn't be shocked to see us end up with Duggan even if some of the other names Gun mentioned are still on the board. Just comes across as another no nonsense Ellis Conca Vlastuin Lennon type of pick that FJ has made the last 4 years.

I've got him at 5th from memory but that includes Heeney and Moore for that matter.

That would mean we are giving up #33 for whiley as i believe #12 is worth the other 2 selections

In a year like this where selections 10-25 are quite even, im not sure 12 for 19/21 is quite worth it tbh. Put it this way, if the tables were turned and we had picks 19 and 21, i wouldn't be giving them away for pick 12. So i think we probably have to chuck 33 in there, which probably means we are paying overs again so they chuck in Whiley and i reckon thats a pretty solid deal.

Hey guys. Think you're in a cushy spot at 12 to simply take Best Player Available. One of Laverde/Weller/Pickett/Ahern should slide to there and you just have to grab him. If not, and there's no other obvious slider out of the top 10, then just take Duggan. Simples. Otherwise you're reaching big for someone or stealing a KPP like Goddard/Marchbank from the clubs behind you.

Out of interest, do any of you know if Richmond will go with a full senior list next year? There's only 1 rookie left on that list so it looks likely?

We have gone down the 38/6 route the last few years so you'd expect that to continue, but having to bring in 5 rookies to make this happen does certainly throw it up in the air a bit.

He has a huge upside. His dad was a legend in NT football.
