Duggan seems to be gathering a head of steam over the last couple of wreks. Been kicking goals and is winning more of the footy. That late birthday of his might become a factor.

Carlton WILL take Wright before us, if he slides. That is a definite given in my opinion. Seeing they need a KPF badly as well, since the Fevola days. And someone who can pinch hit in the ruck to relieve the others. He would be the perfect selection for them. Can only hope they beat the Bombers this week

Where do you think Hislop will go haven't seen him in many phantoms but I rate him. If he is available as a rookie...

You just never know they may come out hard and have a really big crack as it's the lead game if the year and I wouldn't be surprised if Macca gave a few others a chance , although we do have vfl finals so that may be unlikely

I think McLean might drop because of his height, just like many before him

that would be perfect to, those two have better vision to VR, but VR obviously the best kick in the draft

there is likely going to be some top midfielders in next years draft, so if we missed out this year
always next year

I expect bookies to have us about $1.60 vs GWS, maybe less. However it's this sort of "dead rubber" match that comes under scrutiny - from fans and media at least - nearly every year, when the result will help determine the high end of the draft order.

Especially if the favoured side inexplicably loses. TBH I'm not really looking forward to it. We're winners and losers whatever the result.

Brisbane upset Geelong and we've ended up with pick 4 (assuming Melbourne don't get band 1 compo)... come on down Peter Wright!

Yeah

Tucker was AA

we need a little bit of everything fortunately

so a midfielder/KPD/KPF at our first pick, probably can't go wrong because they'd all add something to the side

Overall a very good display against the Northern Knights, I'm not one to go into long winded analysis like Dannnnnnnnnn but will give you a taste
of what I saw...

Overall:
Leading: Good turn of speed off the mark to burn off opponent on a couple of occasions
Goal Kicking: Masterclass, Did shank one late in the game but landed in Peter Wrights Chest. Very smooth action and really accurate.
Marking: Very Good on the lead and decent contested needs a need to build strength to clunk more of them
Defense: Good, Manned the mark well and when he needed to chased and tackled
Communication: Was very vocal to where he wanted the ball put for him and instructing other player to get into correct position.
Rucking: Pinch-Hitter, Competed in the time he was there

Started out almost not even playing having rolled an ankle in the Pre-Game warm up but it clearly did not trouble him during the game.

Played Full Forward for almost all of the match there was occasions during the first term he went into the ruck to get touch on the ball but from then on Dominate.

Yes. Distinct chance already IMO, regardless of how he goes in the finals.
When you get down to around pick 40 the long term success rate for any selection is probably well under 50% and the chances of getting a good KPF are about 2%, so why wouldn't clubs show an interest in a bloke who is probably a 25+% chance to make a reasonable career as a KPP?
