AFL Club
Fremantle
Barring any big upsets top 4 is most likely going to be:

1. Sydney
2. Geelong
3. Hawthorn
4. Fremantle

Which, for those playing at home, means we face the juggernaut that is the Swans first week at ANZ Stadium. How do you think we will match up on them and go against them over there?

Let's all channel Ross and take it one week at a time.

Sew up 4th (or sneak into third if it's possible), and then look at finals. Brisbane won't be pushovers, neither will Port.

Yep agreed. I am jumping the gun a bit. Port are hot on our heels and now with the Fyfe suspensions it's certainly made things interesting.

Not even worried about Sydney tbh, and even if we lose, I'd put money on us beating the blue and white scum

Fortunately or unfortunately the Kennett curse will be broken this weekend. Geelong are absolute shite and Hawks are elite; the loss from this weekend and the desire for a Home final should expose Geelong as the pretenders that they are.

Can't we snag 3rd if the cats get up?
Only if Hawks lose to Collingwood, or we gain 10% on them.
Would make for our annual first final v Geelong, but at the moment I'm feeling pretty pumped for a first final v Swans on the replica Subi they've got out at Homebush.

First week should be ANZ, although knowing the AFL I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Heck ANZ stadium management have denied the NRL the right to host matched at their ground on that weekend to cater for the scenario where they can have a sport that will generate significantly more revenue that weekend.

I still like Geelong's chance with Hawks having a 6 day break from playing over here and Cats 8 days off.

Strange extremes given the last 2 weeks.

My memory is quite bad sometimes but when was the last time Fremantle played at ANZ Stadium?

2006 prelim, but I suspect you actually did remember that :)

To be honest I didn't as it was a complete blur. 2006 is a year that I like to think didn't actually happen.

While I would much prefer to play at the SCG for our first finals game this year I hope that the fact that Fremantle have not played at ANZ in so long will give the Swans some kind of advantage (may be clutching at straws).

ANZ all the way.

Swans play it like shit, it's shaped more like subi and is actually smaller in total area than the SCG
But it's always a crappy surface. The ground is soft, the grass is always cut too long and has been churned up by rugby league.
