Doesn't appear to be a thread on this, so thought I'd start one.

Things we know:

Port showdown in Round 2 on Saturday, March 29. Time not known.
ANZAC home game appears lost, according to both Trigg and Chapman.
Lobbied for Good Friday game, unlikely to get one.
Channel 9 reported we're playing Geelong in Round 1 at the Cattery.

Post more leaks here as they are revealed.

Iit will be essential to get away to a good start next season. So the AFL serve us up an away match at the Cattery in round 1 (hardest road trip in the AFL) followed by an away showdown. Will we play Hawthorn at home in round 3?

Thank god we have Triggy ensuring that his mates at the AFL look after us.

Our draw will need to meet the following criteria for double ups:

Top 6 - Minimum 1 double up, maximum 2
Hawthorn
Fremantle
Geelong
Sydney
Port Adelaide - Definite
Carlton

Middle 6 - Minimum 2 double up, maximum 3
Collingwood
Richmond
Essendon
Brisbane
North Melbourne

Bottom 6 - Minimum 1 double up, maximum 2
West Coast
Gold Coast
Western Bulldogs
St Kilda
Melbourne
GWS

We can determine whether we've copped a bad draw or not when we see which ones we've hit minimum and maximum on.

I'm tipping port, freo, brisbane, norf and west coast

My early tip is we will get 4-5 of the top 6 as double ups.

Dont think Vlad has finished with us just yet.

Is that a rule that only exists on this board or something? Must have missed it.

Since we have Port twice, Im almost certain we will get 3, but wouldnt be suprised as I said , if its more.

It is the new fixture rules. The ladder is broken up into three groups of 6 and depending on where you finish you will play teams from other groups a certain number of times.

As I have put, we can play a maximum of 2 of the top 6 teams twice

If you take the minimum 1 top, 2 middle, 1 bottom you have 4 games so we'll get the minimum for 2 and the maximum for 1. Even if we get the maximum for the top group that will still only be Port plus 1 more.

:thumbsu: Thanks

If the reports of playing Geelong in Geelong in round 1 are true it is a good And bad thing. Good because we get the hardest road trip out of the way straight up. Bad because it makes it harder to get A good start to the season

Report on afl.com.au says our round 1 game against Geelong at KP is going to be thursday night of the second week.

I hope this eventuates as that is a great result! Hopefully on FTA? Personally I'm pumped too. Although it hasn't been a happy hunting ground for us I love going to games there. Its a fantastic ground! Was hoping we'd get a night game there soon.

Interesting that we would play geelong down there anyway.

usually they play brisbane, port, freo, melbourne, bulldogs, GWS, gold coast, sydney at skilled.

One thing for sure it will be a different look Geelong side with no JPod, Chapman, Corey and J Hunt, all big bodied players who intimidate oppositions with size and strength

we've often played them there and not sure we have played them elsewhere for their home games
