Let Unknown know who you want to pick and he becomes Wallace for the rest of the draft. He can then transfer players post draft

Pick 8: Jarrod Pickett

I had about a list of 10 for this pick. The first 7 picks already selected plus Pickett and two others. Its a somewhat more conservative selection in taking the next highest player taken at the AFL draft but also I consider he was the least likely name to still be there at my next pick 11.

Basically i'm getting the speedy indigenous forward that can actually win his own ball (am i allowed to say that)? . He won't rack up the sorts of numbers of any of the top midfielders drafted, but I anticipate he is likely to remain forward eligible and score goals as well as getting acceptable mid-tier midfield numbers.

I will say that while the first five picks or so look fairly straightforward, I reckon it could be anything goes for the next 10 or so. Glad i'll be in the thick of things with picks 11, 15 and 16.

The reason why there is a 12 hour time limit is that you make your pick regardless of your circumstances. Everyone else made their selection within the 12 hours so I don't see that it is appropriate for allocating Heeney to you.

You will be receiving Patrick McCartin. End of story.

Worst case scenario is GR timing out and auto selecting De Goey! I'm on my phone this morning but maybe someone could tag all the coaches and/or send a private message to let them know De Goey = Wallace?

It's all good guys. This happens every year.

Finallay worked out how to get around it though - DONT PRE LIST ANY PLAYERS.

Autopick only turns on automatically when you have prelisted players I believe. By not prelisting players the system waits for your first pick to time out before auto selecting via Ultimate Footy's "Smart Pick" system.

So next year just keep a manual list of players you are going to target somewhere and once the draft starts everyone should have plenty of time to then prelist a couple of options and turn autopick off.

I don't have an issue with anyone taking the full 12 hours because we all have commitments / times that we just cant get on the net. But i think if someone times out with no subsequent explanation given by the coach there should be ramifications for the time allotted for their next pick

flaps McCartin is not a bad pick at two. He is the standout tall, definitely I would of rather him than Wright. You got a forward for the next decade.

I really like this pick. I see it a bit like my Kelly pick last year. Coaches just let him slide. He should of been pick one (bontempelli though has claim) but I got him at 6.
