News 2014 VFL Fixture

The fixture for next year's VFL season has been released:

Some of the features in our draw:

- 3 VFL/AFL double-headers (Coburg/North Melbourne on April 19th, Geelong/West Coast on May 24th and Geelong/Brisbane on August 16th)

- 2 byes per club (plus the week off for the VFL vs SANFL game)

- 1 clash of games in Melbourne (Frankston and Adelaide on July 27th; the VFL game finishes right as the AFL game starts)

- 1 AFL interstate/VFL in Melbourne clash of games (North Ballarat and Sydney on March 29th)

- Also, one of our 'home' games is actually being played away from Victoria Park at Morwell Recreation Reserve. Funnily enough, it's against the club who have made an art form of playing home games away from home, Richmond (June 28th)...

- Only play 2 2013 finalists (Geelong and Essendon) twice. Also only play Bendigo twice.

The biggest disappointment of all in the 2014 fixture. Closely followed by having to play Richmond out at Morwell for OUR home game.
Someone at the VFL really hates us I think.

I have to be careful how I post about the VFL Calendar the VPHC are selling to help promote the VFL team this season and to raise a few bob to help with the work we do with Vic Park.
