5 Weiterings wouldn't make Carlton competitive.Might be a case of Carltank.
Big score to qtr time, then like usual no more goals
Would Brisbane take Weitering?
There desperate for a key forward.
Maybe they go Curnow or Francis has been known to kick a few goals this year
Maybe even Weideman is a chance if he puts a few games in before end of the season.
No point having the best CHB in Weitering if you dont have a CHF or FF.
Kinda puts a spanner in the works now.
Yeah i agree if we get 5 wins in the end it's actually a pretty good form post bye. We need a midfielder more than a key defender or forward so getting Parish, Francis or Curnow would be pretty good.I don't see the Lions winning another match for the rest of the season, while I see Carlton as a possibility against Melbourne.
It'll come down to percentage, but with Carlton playing Hawthorn in the final round, it's looking likely that Carlton's percentage will be lower than Brisbane's - hence giving them pick 1.
Although, with the Lions playing the Crows, Hawthorn, and Bulldogs, their percentage could take a hit too.
Even if neither win another game, it's still not definite as to who will get the spoon.
As for us, we're almost guaranteed third. To come fourth, we'd need to win 2 of the next 3 games and hope Essendon don't win another game.
Realistically, we should win against Essendon and maybe against Port. Still gives us pick 3 and a good lead in for the pre-season - best possible outcome IMO.
Win another game or two with the injury list we've had this year would be a passable effort. Imagine if we had of been without Ablett, Swallow, Prestia, O'Meara etc. in previous years. There's no way we would've won a single game.I don't see the Lions winning another match for the rest of the season, while I see Carlton as a possibility against Melbourne.

Watched a bit of Ryan Bastinac playing for Nth Ballarat recently. How he's playing VFL is a mystery. 24, good disposal, nothing flashy and would suit our midfield. Contracted but obviously not rated by Brad Scott. We need a ruckman and a backup mid with the potential to be a clearance machine
Nothing flashy
I'm beginning to hate flashy like I hate brussel sprouts
Just watching Rocket's post match presser and I get the feeling he'll be asking Clayton to find him some more hard running mids in this draft / trade period.
Just up on AFL.com.auWhere did you find that..?
