The Fed Cup starts this week with the quarter final ties. We face off against Germany again away. Coverage on 7Two all weekend starting Saturday night at 11pm. Going to be a very tough tie

Could be struggle street for Australia, although Kerber won't out power our side. Depends which Petkovic and Sabine turn up. I am assuming they will save Sabine for the doubles.

I guess the one positive is Kerber, Petkovic and Sabine are hardly in world beating form. All 3 lost first round at the AO.

At first I thought it was bizarre, but I guess they are going with Jarka's best day is better than Casey's best day. A gamble and unlikely but I see why

I don't find it strange at all that they picked Jarka. She had a solid Aussie summer and already has beat Petkovic this year. Also don't think we will struggle as much as people think. All the germans lost round at AO expect for Goerges.
