Mumford v Jacobs

At the moment I have Jacobs, but feel he could be over priced. Love his consistency and his ability to play 22 games.
Mumford's ceiling is massive, and I feel he will benefit from the new ruck scoring / a better midfield. Also will be a POD
Thoughts?

Jacobs should be a walk up certainty but injured pre-season and lost about 4 weeks of training IIRC. Playing second fiddle to the rookie ruck in the next NAB game so at this stage I won't be selecting him. Rucks are going to be problematic this year IMO.

Lock and load Sauce. New ruck points scoring should help him more than others too.

Okay, got an interesting one, as it's not a player vs player per se.

In my Draft league of 10, I managed to draw Pick 3.

That guarantees me one of Ablett, Rockliff, Pendlebury or Fyfe. Nice captain material.

But it also means my next pick isn't until 18.

I really want Robbie Gray - high quality forwards are obviously harder to get than high quality midfielders. Picking him at 3 is a reach - so I'm considering trading down for Pick 6. He won't be there at Pick 18.

That would give me Pick 6 + Pick 15.

So... Pick 6 + Pick 15 (then 26, 35...)

Or Pick 3 + Pick 18 (then 23, 38...)

I just can't decide. Obviously Ablett / Rockliff / Pendlebury / Fyfe straight up against Gray isn't going to go in Gray's favour (although I believe he'll up his output this year), but taking positions into account and upgrading my second pick...

If the leagues any good he wont be there at 15. You'd have to take him at 6

Which I'm happy to do - that was the point of my post, taking Gray at 6.

Or should I try and trade lower? Then I start really downgrading my 3rd round, 5th round picks, but upgrading my 2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.)
