Thoughts on the team guys? My backline is a worry, but I'm liking the strong midfield. I'm starting with the 2 rucks as it'll be easier to find cash for them when I upgrade.

I just really hate lamumba and usually try to dedicate as little thinking time to him as possible

Carlton hate collingwood
Collingwood hate lumumba

The enemy of my enemy is my friend?

The one thing I don't like about this time of the year is everyone teams start to look so similar, I don't feel changing to be different will make your team any better really it's just we've all seen the exact same things and have the same things to go off. So the stand out players will have most people jump on and the poorer performers will have most people jump off.

His other 2 weeks weren't ordinary.

Game 1
From 83 mins of play. 20 disposals, 5 clearances, 6 I50s and 1 goal 3 behinds

Game 2
from 79 mins, 15 disposals, 7 clearances, 6 I50s, 1 goal 1 behind

Remember 102 mins represents 85% of a 120 min game

Hes one that is the most difficult for me. It doesnt seem like many teams will go with the hard tag this year.

So you watched the live stream on computer for game 2 ? You watched when he'd hardly had a possession in the first half and the Dogs were 52 points down ?

He was far better in the second half, but it was an ordinary game and showed how he can go missing for lengthy periods.

By all means pick him.

Going missing from games isn't really that big of a deal though. Look at Dustin Martin, that's possibly his biggest con, yet he is in nearly every team.
Seems more concerning than it actually is, certainly not a means to overlook him. Not that relevant imo

I don't have a problem with your approach to the backline, it's not worth sinking a lot of money into it early on. Fyfe is an interesting selection, do you think he will end up a top 8 mid? If so keep him but that's a call I wouldn't make myself

Yes I do, at his age he'll still improve, and at that price it was him or the more popular pick of Parker. Fyfe will average more imo.

Very very similar to mine, besides a couple selections. I've also gone the cheap backline routine, hopefully it pays off.

Thoughts?

DEF: Hibberd, Newnes, KK, Marley Williams, Pearce, Smedts - EMG: Oxley, Saad
MID: Rockliff, Sidebottom, Fyfe, Greene, S. Selwood, Newton, Cripps, Vandenberg - EMG: Ellis-Yolmen, Anderson
RUCK: Giles, Luey - EMG: Griffen, Naismith
FWD: Swan, Bartel, Martin, Bennell, Salem, Clark - EMG: Honeychurch, Hogan

$5k left over

POD's
Marley Williams - NAB Scores of 56,20 & 78 - has the ability to score 75+ IMO
Greene - NAB Scores of 82,68 & 76 - Broke out last to crack the 100 average (102.9), averaged 131 over the last 5 rounds of 2014 with a high of 165
Fyfe - NAB Scores of 76 & 113 - not sure why he isn't mentioned that much but $579k for a averaging over 100 will do me
Selwood - One NAB game of 108 - only 459k, tackling machine, injury riddled 2014, in 2013 was a gun averaging 100+, will do it again this year with wellingham becoming the tagger (IMO anyway)
Giles - Just depends on what happens next week with the bombers, if bellchambers is out and giles is the single ruck he could be a bargain and reproduce the 80 average like year 1 at the giants
Bennell - NAB Scores of 78, 95 & 111 - 3 straight seasons of 85 average, surely this is this year he breaks out to the 100 average.

Simmo has said publicly that Selwood will tag this year, but don't let that deter you.

Hey guys, here's my team and would love to hear some feedback on it. This is my third year now so I think im starting to get a hang of it. I know the backline is weak and im not too confident with luey the big gump. But im pretty happy with most other aspects

Solid team overall, I'd probably re-consider Jed in my opinion. I just believe he'll see limited game time if named. I'm also a little skeptical on Scooters tagging role. But Dreamteam is risk and reward, if he doesn't tag this year you'll have a great POD.

very fair call on jed, I have $140,000 sitting there so do you reckon an upgrade to rich or is there any other debutants I should be picking up? hoping that scooter can pick up where he left off in 2013, with wellingham sharing the tagging role hopefully scooter can make me some cash before I trade him off for a proper premo

No real mids besides your other four, have I been hopeful about. Unless you want to change him to Lambert, then replace Lambert with Honeychurch in Forward line? Also will give you a DPP swap option? I'm personally not sold on Rich, but that's each to their own.
