There are some guns in there. Buntine is probably the worst of them, Cunnington is a bit meh to me, Stringer and KK are going to be guns, Polec could be a star if his body gets right, De Goey looks like he could be good and has some great traits but too early to call. I'm actually going the other way from that list. Carlisle is a gun but then so are the players around that pick. If you could get Aish or Lennon along side Carlisle for that pick it would be a yes though.

I would be amazed (and filthy) if we gave up pick 5 for Carlisle. The fact is, as much as we like him we won't pay overs.

I admit I'd even be a bit flat if we roll 5 into another couple of mid teen picks and use one of them on Carlisle, but I'd accept that. Our recruiters have done an amazing job over the last few years and I back them in to deliver us the best possible outcome. They won't let desperation to land a big fish convince them sell the farm.

Also, I don't want the injectors having 4 and 5. They are in a rebuild like us, albeit they are a fair bit behind us. We will be competing against them for finals in a few years and I don't want to give them a leg up in any way.

2nd rounder this year and next. Or 2nd rounder this year and Ross. Take it or leave it; and we will trade for pick 1 and just grab weitering!!

Couldn't have put it better myself, Keg! Agree with all your comments except I would only trade Ross if we are replacing him with an Aish or Kelly. Besides, I am still filthy about the Lovett deal with Essendope and definitely don't want to pay overs for Carlisle.

Spoiler alert- for anyone who has never watched Draft Day, don't read on...

Ok. I've given this some thought. Now, bear with me on this.....

We trade for pick 1. We give up our 1st round draft picks for the next 3 years... We use pick 1 on parish despite everyone expecting us to grab weitering....

Then, on draft day, everyone baulkes at weitering. So we convince Essendon to trade us pick 4 for our 2nd round picks for the next 2 years.

We trade pick 4 to the blues so they can grab weitering and get our pick 5 back and grab curnow/ Francis. Plus we get all our first rounders back AND we get Cripps!

Hell, if Kevin Costner can do it, it should be a piece of pi$$ for trout!!
