2 saints need to be happy with their man and 14
3 your posts on this thread have been level headed and on the whole fair. Good to have level headed interaction with opposition supporters.

Im gonna see how many Trolls we get popping over gobbing off about getting pick 5 first before i talk about any type of decent interaction with Essendrug supporters.

Well we have no elite mids now and two KPBs and got one last trade period at 17 or something. So there goes that theory based on the last executed draft.

U need more than one back. We have one of the oldest back lines with fisher Dempster Gilbert geary. Y take a 200cm key back who is a gun and ready to go at 24, when u can take a unproven mid at pick 5. Toumpass went a 4 look at him. Now with pick 14 we get a mid.

Carlisle has gained a lot of respect and endeared himself to the fans with the way he has acted through these two weeks. When it was first breaking about being on the phone to Clarko I thought he would be heading to Hawthorn that day.

Instead he stayed true to his word, even giving us back power in the negotiation by stating on Friday he only wanted to come to us.

It would have been easy to join Hawthorn and chase an immediate flag, instead he is choosing to hopefully build something special with us.

If the deal is correct its been a great day for the club. We have Carlisle, Freeman, pick 14 and Rice. 2 players that will play round one baring injury and 2 that can be developed for the following years. I don't care how the other clubs faired but it seems a win for us and the way I see it, it cost about the value I though, maybe even a fraction less.

Was clear Saints strategy was to get Carlise and keep a 1st round pick as high as possible all our insiders pushed this line and this is what this deal gives us. Was always going to involve pick 5 and is better than the staight forward alternative of 5 for Carlise and 25. Will mean we beat the Bombers by 150 points next year instead of 100.
