Kennedy, Weidemann, Francis - plenty of talent to choose from in the first ten picks or so.

I like what the gold coast did trading for Melbourne's first rounder next year.

Really think we should be looking at something similar with 14, shop it around to anyone other than expected top 4.

We are after mids and mids only I'd say. Outside players, speed, skill and clearence winners the main priorities.

Tucker, Gresham, Balic are 3 we would take if they were there at 14 IMO.

Despite us looking for outside mids though, most on here think we'd be keen to take Matheison. I can't see him falling that far though.

Rumour is that Port knocked back 12 for Lobbe.

Will probably both be the sort of trades that the other team makes their mind up on late after they've got all the preferred deals out the way. Nothing major for us, hopefully one of them goes through to cover us for points for Rice.

When considering our success of this trade period, people need to remember that we lost next year's second round pick in order to secure Freeman. So, talk of "Freeman, Carlisle, and pick 14 for 5+24" being a "great deal" is factually incorrect. Once you factor in next year's second round pick, you'll see that it's not as flash; not so much because next year's second would be a great pick for the draft, but because (I believe) it fairly significantly weakens our trading power in 2016.

Thanks for that, he's definitely one to watch. He has a bit of the Fasolo, Puopolo and even some Milney. If you could pick him up late or as a rookie there is lots to like.
