Number 1 Harley still has a 2 yr contract. And Harley has the call here not the club..The Club has to get him to the club he chooses..Its not a bidding war and he goes to highest bidder. And his trade value has dropped significantly.
Its news from family in WA that he wanted to come to West Coast when the drug thing broke and also then Gold Coast wanted to get rid of him..

Carro saying Harley was with Martin matera and Broughton and every group of Suns who went out agrees to not let anyone alone they all started to leave together, obv Harley was pretty drunk, lagging behind.
By the time the other 3 got back Harley was in a fight and Police had taken him across the road and locked him up

What is your thinking behind this if you don't mind me asking? Why does Harley get to choose what club, picking a state is fine, I'm sure Freo or WC would love to have Harley's services. Both are WA clubs and he would be close to family if he was to go the WA route.

Has there ever been a club looking to trade a player who refused to consent to the transfer?

Did they pay out his contract and delist him after?

I don't think he was a Freo supporter bruz? They played for Bernie Dockers though, so that could be the Freo colours you allude to
99% sure they supported Freo. The link between Burnie Dockers and Freo Dockers could be the reason, as they're affiliated.

Need to think for benefit of Harley moving back to WA would be best, and would be in a tough and structured environment which would strongly benefit him. First rounder and Weller would be doing really well! Whether that would happen is a different story.
Plus side is family, downside is hoon mates.
freo's first rounder likely to be 15-18 this year, and weller selected pick 13, don't equate to the value of bennell.
I imagine you would get a bit, but you won't get his value. The club are letting him go, it's not a strong bargaining position. Being a gun improves that, but surely the clubs that want him are ones that are at the top and can risk it, which means less in return.

I don't think Freo would offer a pick plus Weller. Most likely the offers will be two first round picks, this plus next year. Richmond and North will have the lower end, but they may not be willing.

Hes coming to West Coast .I work with his brother. And its known 2months ago gold coast wanted to trade him..And he has nominated to rove to Nic Nat. We have 2 first rounders, one of them being a scott selwood compo. We are getting Jetta for Mitch Brown. and Redden for player and 2nd round.

Lloyd said he was 1 of Bennells coaches at the AIS or something when he was a 17yr old and they had to Dump him there as well for poor behaviour
Could it possibly be, maybe, however unlikely, is it in the ballpark of reason that Lloyd would be trying to drive Wheels' value down given Essenscum's obvious interest in him?Surely unthinkable.Lloyd is such a quality human being.

Too many assumptions being thrown about.

First, I reckon GC can terminate his contract as there is probably behavioral clauses, the problem is that if they don't find him a club it would probs end up in court. I reckon they would be happy to get him where he wants.

Likewise, I think the top end will run the risk.

WC and Freo have to consider whether family, negates his WA mates. I think WC should go for it and Hawthorn probably will, though they run the gauntlet with the offield stuff.
