We will have to wait until after the drafts are done before there is much talk on this front.

True but I can’t see Walin getting Drafted. Maybe Rookie but why would you Draft someone from the Gold that Pretty Much Sucked the last 2 years

Much has been made of the changes to Collingwood’s senior list following the 2014 season, but the club’s VFL branch has been just as active as it prepares for next year.

The VFL Magpies, who will be coached by Dale Tapping again in 2015, have signed two players with significant state league experience.

West Adelaide’s Michael Still and Bendigo’s Jesse Wallin have both made the move to the Westpac Centre.

Still, a 194cm key forward, spent two years on Essendon’s senior list after being recruited as a 17-year-old with selection No. 55 in the 2008 National Draft.

He kicked 18 goals in seven senior games for West Adelaide at SANFL level in 2014.

Wallin, meanwhile, performed well for Bendigo during the club’s final season in the VFL.

A hard-nosed defender, Wallin averaged 9.9 disposals and 6.1 tackles across his 16 senior games.

Collingwood VFL General Manager Luke Gatti said both players will bolster the club’s list with state league experience.

I can understand the Signing now of Still.

As in the Draft outside of Moore we will drafted Mids.

So it be Moore and Still in the Forward line in the VFL?

It's not a list change, but it's the first fixture leak;

@BgoAddySport: Two #VFL games will be played in #Bendigo at the QEO in 2015. Geelong v Collingwood on May 9 and Essendon v Footscray on August 21. @VFLnews

Add that to the pre season game in Bendigo and it seems Pies fans up that way will get their fix next year.

Ping jackcass.

Reckon you can also pencil in Saturday June 6th against Casey at Casey Fields. The VFL have been scheduling this 'mini-Queen's Birthday' weekend clash for the last 4 years now.

Be curious to know which games we get as curtain-raisers at the G (and what games they play before)...

Great news! Bendigo has the rotten history of being an ex Carlton recruiting zone and then in the 00s Essendon extended its grip over the town through the Bendigo Bombers. Its about time things took a turn for the better :D

Makes for a big weekend, Friday night at the G, Saturday arvo at the QEO. Perfect!

Dylan Orval won't be back for another crack in 2015, after missing the entire year with (IIRC) a chronic hamstring problem:

History repeats... :(

Be keen to see them land a couple of kids who just missed on being drafted. We never really go in for them but would make a lot of sense to me. Get them with our coaches and programmes and see if they can't iron out the kinks. Kid like Bampton from SA would get an enormous out of it.

They Concentrate on the AFL Listed players a lot more then the VFL Guys.

I agree I would like us to bring guys we still had on our List for the Rookie draft and Bring them onto the VFL List.

Though How would you feel IF they where very impressive with us but get drafted Elsewhere?

While injury-prone key forward Dylan Orval has stepped away from the game to focus on work commitments, Collingwood have obtained the services of former Essendon-listed goalkicker Michael Still from West Adelaide, and defender Jesse Wallin from the defunct Bendigo Gold. The Pies had been squarely in the mix to land delisted Hawthorn defender Jordan Kelly, and wingman Roarke Smith, however both were picked up in the AFL rookie draft by the Western Bulldogs. The Pies are believed to still be on the lookout for local talent to bolster their squad.

No Kyle Martin is a massive loss in the middle.

He is a massive loss ...

... but DeGoey, Crisp and Goodyear will go some way towards making up for it!
