I still haven't seen us linked to Venables yet. For those that have seen a bit more of him then me, is his kicking a problem? His kicking efficiency was below 50% in both the champs and in the TAC which is why I ask.

No, many have rated him as having very good skills, and from what I saw of him in the Champs it looked fine. Does need to win more of the ball to compensate for his skills not being elite, but with a consistent gig I can see Venables becoming a star. It took Dangerfield a while to become a ball winner, and look how he turned out.

For the draft watchers tell me about venables. Has he got elite burst speed like a Dangerfield/Stringer/jack Steven who can play on the inside and burst away from contests or is he more dustin Martin in style who moves well but relies more on power to get separation.

In my opinion he's both, he has that elite burst of speed but also has great strength and power.

Me too. I think I will go to bed a little grumpy if we take English or Florent with our first.
Then again remember not being overly thrilled when we called Dunkleys name out.

If we go for English are you going to get him some meat pies? I saw you say that about Cordy when we drafted him

Marshall/English have a frame that scares the bejeebus out of me, I think with midfielders you can be a bit more flexible but KPP/Rucks NEED some serious muscle/strength

I'm in the camp you don't draft string bean ruckman with early picks fronk.
This bloke is a real string bean , but even more alarming is he dosn't seem to mark the ball much.
Bit of a worry when you are a foot taller than most on the park.
His highlights don't fill me with any great confidence.
Having said all that , I am an idiot so there is every chance English becomes a Bontempelli up grade
